I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Vela. The views are amazing and the building is very well maintained.
I can’t say enough about the staff especially Lester. He always went above and beyond whenever we needed help with any maintenance issue.
If you’re looking to lease downtown I highly recommend The Vela.

I have lived at Vela for almost a year now and have nothing but good things to say. The building is super clean, great amenities and the staff is exceptional! Another great point to note is that the walls are thick!! I never hear any of my neighbors, which I know is a big concern in many apartment buildings. The location is also perfect if you’re looking to be right in the center of downtown.

Oh and I can’t forget about Lester and the maintenance team! He is the best! He is always so quick to respond to any maintenance requests through a quick and seamless process.

I highly recommend living at the Vela.

I’ve lived at Vela for almost 5 years now and I think it’s one of the best apartment complexes in downtown Stamford. I love the fact that it’s close proximity to everything and the walls are thick! We can barely hear our neighbors. Overall the amenities are great and recently we have had more community events which has been nice. Our front desk staff is also very pleasant and helpful. Lester and the maintenance team are responsive and kind and easy to reach. The only downside is the random fire alarms, congested parking garage and sometimes the elevators take forever… not Velas fault but the downtown area is getting a bit more sketchy lately… hoping it gets cleaned up before next spring…otherwise, I would recommend this building to others.

I recently helped my son move into Vela on the Park and I am super impressed with this building! Beautiful apartments and common space and is kept extremely clean by the wonderful maintenance staff. Lester from the maintenance team has been incredibly helpful, responsive and kind. He has made the transition into the building very smooth and I am very grateful for his assistance. I am hoping my son will be very happy there for quite some time!

We've been at Vela for almost 3 years now, and it's been such a wonderful experience. The building, apartments, views and amenities are exceptional and the management and staff are incredibly nice and highly responsive. We are so well cared for here. Also love the fun events, social activities, from ice cream socials to bagel brunches. The location is also great, just steps from so many excellent restaurants and a beautiful park. Just a wonderful place to call home!

My wife and I stayed here for about 7 months while we were in town for work. The apartment complex was clean and safe, with a mix of young professionals and some older retirees (It seems like). I didn't have any issues, any maintenance problems were fixed quickly, when I moved in I had some cosmetic damage to my fridge and microwave and they offered to replace them without me asking. The concierge's, while we did have a couple come and go while I lived there were all great. Shout out to Milo. I would personally rate my experience on the building and staff as 5/5.

I give 4/5, because on multiple occasions the 66 Summer apartments residents would take my parking spot in the shared garage (get a traffic cone to fix that) and if you are on a lower floor facing Washington Blvd. it can get loud due to locals that think they need to race down the road or blast their music from their car parked at Columbus Park. If there is one place that needs some speed bumps (permanent or temporary) its Washington Blvd. People will circle around Mill River driving as fast as they can late at night with loud exhaust because they think its cool.

Positives: Lots of shopping and food nearby. 10 minute walk to the train station. Clean. Always stuff to do. Relatively safe compared to the majority of places in the US. Public transportation is good.

Negatives: Traffic is loud and busy. Most likely need to drive for groceries (or have them delivered) as Target is very limited on fresh food and its only groceries available in walking distance.

Been at Vela since the beginning. The best asset at Vela is the maintenance personnel. Marco has been here the whole time. Lester was a great addition to the maintenance staff a few years back. Both Marco and Lester are extremely competent, professional, responsive and never disappoint. The best maintenance staff imaginable. They always go the extra mile to make residents happy.

I am very much enjoying my life at Vela on the Park. I am happy this was the apartment I chose after looking at many in Stamford. Location is very important for me and the apartments are walking distance to everything I really need. Besides all the amenities and how clean they are, I love the variety of events they host weekly. I met the new manager Gio at the wine events and it’s a good feeling to see management involved in the resident functions. I highly recommend Vela on the Park for your next apartment.
