I didn't have any reservation when I arrived at Weirs Beach, I stopped by the 1848 and lucky for me they had a cottage available. The host was very personable and friendly, and gave me some great recommendation on where I could go to eat and what to do in the area. The cottage was very clean and well supplied with everything I needed for my stay. The bedding and towels were fresh and clean but especially like the variety of pillows they had chosen some were soft and little more firm. I do believe that was well thought out. I had only intended to stay one night but the cottage made me feel right at home and very relaxed, so I extended my stay for one more night. I am looking forward to another stay in the near future and will recommend the 1848 to all of my friends traveling to Weirs Beach area.

Me and my mom stopped in to check availability for just one night and the owner, Brook was so inviting and kind. I thought the rate was very fair. We rented a cute cozy little cottage which was clean and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised by the game room which had a pool table, foosball table, and corn hole boards which we set up outside by the fire pit to enjoy. Walking distance to everything near the beach which was perfect for checking out some live music. We are definitely making this a tradition and won’t even consider renting anywhere else it was just PERFECT!!! Thank you guys for a wonderful and much needed night away!!

First off, what an awesome place! We booked again for next year the 3rd day we were there; 10 days next time, not just 7. Everything was super clean, the AC was ice cold, mattresses were all brand new, and the owners (DJ and Brooke) were ON THE BALL!! (My Shrek hands broke the shower head one morning, and before we were back from Dunks, DJ had already replaced it!) We booked 2 rooms for ourselves and our 2 daughters, and a cabin for my son and his girlfriend. Every room was amazing! And the owners were super chill; they told us “make yourselves at home, just please no smoking in the rooms”. Happy to oblige!! Seriously can not wait to go back and just relax!

We stayed two nights at the 1848 motel for Laconia Bike week. Great location and short walking distance to Weirs Beach downtown. The owner Brook has a nice personality and socialize with all the guest. Nice clean pool. There is BBQ available on the site to use and place for camp fire. Fresh coffee in the morning.
We will definitely go back to this motel.

Great little cottage stay as a couple! Nice, clean and comfortable. The owner was very welcoming and accommodating. The location was great, walkable to Weirs beach, restaurants, and shops. Only a short drive to Bank of New Hampshire pavilion for a great concert experience. Will definitely recommend and will be back again!

Love this place! It's my favorite place to go "glamping"! Brook, Dj and Dillon, the owners, are always so pleasant and accommodating. Great location! Close to downtown Laconia and the beach, but far enough away that it's quiet. Thanks for another great get away! Love it here! ❤️
