Stayed in “Southern Comfort” on a trip with my son. Couldn’t have asked for more. All the amenities: hot tub, fire pit, back yard fishing pond made for a relaxing, secluded place for us to unwind and enjoy the trip at a reasonable price. The surrounding area is gorgeous. Be sure to check out the giant city lodge for dining and castle park for kids of all ages

We love the White Tail cabin! It's the perfect size with everything you need for a day or two or a week. It's close to the wine trail and Shawnee forest but very quiet. The hot tub was super!

This was a beautiful, peaceful place for a romantic getaway. Highly recommend for couples. Enjoy the view of ducks on the pond from the hot tub. We stayed in Woodsong cabin. Fireplace was beautiful. It snowed for us. Which made the hot tub even more relaxing! It's so quiet out there, yet you are minutes from Carbondale and just a scenic little wind thru the country to get to Giant City State Park or to the wine trail. Just beautiful. Will visit again.

Absolutely stunning cabins. We have been a few times and it is always perfect w the lake view, fishing, the turtles, the hot tub, the peace and quiet. We were visited by a family of raccoons every night which we loved seeing

This is our go-to cabin destination! We have been to others in Illinois and Missouri, only because Woodlands was booked up. We love the privacy, but not so far away from Carbondale or the State park, the wineries or the other attractions. We live 2 1/2 hrs away, which is great, no long travel time to get there. We would recommend this cabin getaway to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway 😊

We've stayed there several times and have always enjoyed our stays! Very peaceful and relaxing and most times you never know anyone else is even around. We understand the business aspect and we are hoping the upcoming expansion of the new and future cabins doesn't change the quiet atmosphere. Again, we love our stays and we'll be back!!!

This was our second time staying at Woodland Cabins. It is so relaxing here. It has become one of my favorite places to come. Loved feeding the turtles! We actually ventured out and hit a few of the wineries which are very convenient to get to. The cabin is very clean and stocked with everything you need to make your stay enjoyable!
