This is my 4th experience with Whitecap Kayak, and like all the other times, I was very happy with the experience. I went on a 2 night, group camping trip to the Apostle Islands and it was AWESOME! David and Neal were very patient and helpful during the booking process as I decided on what I wanted to do and they were very flexible with me on getting the dates I wanted. They went well out of their way. Kiara and Tamarack were our guides and they were superb! They were very personable and easy to interact with which made for a great experience for us. I was very impressed with the meals they were able to prepare for us on the islands. I have a huge appetite and eat much more than the average person, and yet never went hungry. They also will go out of their way to cater to specific dietary needs. The islands were jaw-dropping pretty, especially the sun sets! Stop reading and just go book a trip with them, it's well worth it!

Truly a phenomenal trip! Josh and Isiah worked really well together and made sure we had an awesome time. They were both very knowledgeable about the islands and Wisconsin in general. Josh was very tuned in to the how the lake behaves in certain conditions, and when the weather conspired against us he developed a contingency plan that kept the trip amazing. The food was fantastic, and none of us had to worry about being hungry!!

We had the best we could ask for with Josh from Whitecap kayak on our Meyers Beach sea caves half day kayak trip. I researched three or four companies, and whitecap is the only company that commits to small groups. I will say that is what made the experience. He took 6 of us out, so 4 kayaks total. We started at 8am, we were on the water by 815. It was incredibly peaceful as no other group tours had started yet, few others were on the water. We paddled until about 9:30 up along this stretch of caves and then back down to the beach. We finished about 10:45am. It was very relaxed and Josh gave us reign to explore safe areas and just the right amount of stories, history, and local recommendations. Second best to the small group size was we were halfway back before we saw any other groups. There were two other tour groups, with 10 kayaks each (so almost 40 people) paddling out all at the same time to explore these structures. The customized experience and the quality of pictures would never have been the same. I would totally do this again!

Our 4 days of ambitious adventure trip turned out way beyond our expectations. Neal is amazingly talented kayak instructor. It's a huge effort to manage a group of several kayaker for 4 days on the lake Superior, safely navigate them through several islands, prepare freshly cooked healthy meals, and stay on top of the weather forecast for group's safety. This can only done by seasoned and passionate person who absolutely loves what he does!
Exploring the sea caves of the Devil’s Island was the highlight of the trip, but entire 4 days of our journey through the islands and night camp outs was an amazing experience.
Thank you Neal and Tamarack, for everything you have done to make this trip memorable for all of us!
I am going back for another adventure in near future with them.

Kelly and I had a fantastic time on the water. Our guide, Julia, did a wonderful job sharing information about the caves. She kept our small group motivated for the paddle back to shore. We'll definitely recommend your guided tours.

This was our second 3 day kayaking camping adventure with Whitecap and I have to say they are absolutely amazing. We felt incredibly safe while out on this adventure, the guides were very professional and fun. They cooked amazing meals, were so personable and truly pampered us out there. It was so incredible to sit around a fire and feel like we were truly on vacation as our guides had everything so well planned. Once again, THANK YOU!!!

Book it! This 6 hour experience was awesome. Great views of the caves and a great lunch on Sand Island. 6 people with 2 guides- perfect numbers. Our main guide was Julia who was amazing. She was knowledgeable, pleasant to talk with and periodically checked in on each group, giving my husband and I plenty of time to enjoy just eachothers company on the water. This was a bucket list item and we loved it.

It was an amazing experience kayaking out to Sand Island! My husband and I were the only 2 on the group! The sea caves were remote and beautiful. Josh was an extremely knowledgeable guide and made the experience unforgettable. Highly recommend! Thank you!
