They have roaches. I can’t in good faith recommend this motel solely based on the roach problem. I took pictures of them, according to Google they are baby German roaches. Such a shame because the rooms are real nice, newly remodeled. Parking is easy. Good location. It’s just the roaches.

I've stayed here multiple times over the last year. Location was convenient for the business I had to take care of while in town. However I noticed recently the 25 dollar temporary deposits they were holding weren't always refunded despite them giving me receipts stating they were refunded. Keep an eye on your statements if you decide to stay here. They've lost a customer over 75 dollars. Hope it was worth it.

Edit: The reply the owner gave is technically correct. The last 2 were refunded except that for one of those two I had to dispute the charge to get the refund. The other deposits they kept were going back over the last year.

They lied about returning your deposit, they gave you a receipt that will never get your back to your card, i triple check with the bank and send them the receipt but its a fake transacetion that never exist. Dont ever stay here. The room are just dirty, the floor never been mopped. Found 3 cockcroaches in the bathroom, and under the sink. No hanger in the bathroom too. The room only has fridge and no kettle or microwave. The lobby has microwave but when we want to use it around midnight because my 5 yo son is hungry, the person would not let us in to use it, he said do it in the morning. The rudest person in any hotel i have ever been, all he has to do is just open lock and let us use it. The room do not have ‘do not disturb’ sign, so have to manually asked the person to not clean up the room, and they still did, idiots

It’s a bare bones experience for sure— no hangers. Onentiny waste basket. No breakfast. BUT: our room was recently renovated;’it was spotlessly clean; the bed was huge and very comfortable; the shower was great; the in-room refrigerator large and quiet. The daily maid service was unexpected, thorough and welcome. The motel is adjacent to the I-10 Freeway but it was quiet inside the room. We’d stay here again.

Additional Comments To The Ridiculous Reply on 2/27/24

These are not false claims we have video and picture evidence as well and if this matter goes any further we will be considering legal actions. This is not for monetary reasons this is so people know where not to spend their hard earned money.

The day of the incident no one came to check the shower when it happened. Instead he dismissed us and didn’t want to help because they know what kind of place they’re running. This is not how a business should reply to a unsatisfied CUSTOMER. Implying that we’re stupid enough to not know how to use a shower is bizarre. Regardless the temperature should not have been scolding hot especially for someone who is older and diabetic. My funds should not be a topic of your interest you got paid for the horrible service and dirty messed up room so to imply anything else is highly unnecessary and disrespectful. How you and your staff handle business is horrible. You shouldn’t reply to customers in such a rude and condescending way and if this is how you’re going to handle your business or customers you definitely should not be in the customer service field.

Disappointing Stay
I recently stayed here with my mother from February 13 2024 thru February 15 2024. The shower head and faucet were broken. The shower and faucet were running at the same time. The water from the faucet was extremely hot and the water in the tub didn’t go down due to poor drainage. Not only the water fail to drain properly but I also sustained burns from the scolding hot water when attempting to adjust the temperature. The bed sheets and pillows covers were covered in black stains,which is totally unacceptable and unsanitary I asked the front attendant how often do they change the bedding and he told me every other day. When I reported these issues to the front desk attendant who only gave me his name as “Mr. G”. Unhelpful and very dismissive. He said that we didn’t know how to use a shower. I asked him a couple of times to accompany me to the room to show him the problem and he refused to check. On top of the horrible stay I was charged $250.00 for two nights. Overall my stay at Walnut Inn was a complete let down. As a frequent traveler, I expected a much better service and accommodation. Hopefully the owner and manager take this feedback seriously and improve their standards and their employees. Until then I’ll be taking my business elsewhere
