Universal Studios Hollywood is a full-on experience. The moment you walk in, it feels like you’ve stepped straight into your favorite movies. The park is divided into different themed worlds, and each one completely immerses you—whether you’re wandering through Hogwarts, running from dinosaurs, or chilling with the Minions. The staff is super friendly and really adds to the fun vibe everywhere.

Now for the highlight: the new Mario Bros attraction. It’s part of Super Nintendo World, and honestly, it’s like walking inside a video game. Bright colors, classic Mario music, floating blocks, and characters you’ve known since childhood—it’s pure nostalgia and magic. Every corner has something cool to discover, whether it’s interactive games or epic photo ops.

The main ride, Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, blends AR, gaming, and theme park magic. You wear special goggles, hop in a kart, and boom—you’re racing through the Mushroom Kingdom. Throw shells, rack up points, and compete like you’re actually inside the game.

We had such a great time at Universal Studios Hollywood! It was a fun, easygoing day—rides were a blast and the park wasn’t overly crowded, which made everything more enjoyable. The Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride inside the castle was absolutely amazing—easily one of the highlights of the day. While it’s not quite as expansive as Universal Orlando, it still delivered a fantastic experience. Definitely worth a visit!

My experience from buying tickets to exploring the park was good. Between Florida and California, I prefer Florida because it’s bigger, much bigger. However Hollywood gives good areas for what they do have. I didn’t like that majority of the rides were simulated, got very light headed after one. The Jurassic Park ride was fun, that was the best ride experience to me. They were building a physical ride there I’m not sure of what it will be. The Harry Potter experience was good. I will say buying the ticket for the early bird super Mario experience made it worth it. I would say that the time of season matters. California kids are not on spring break during March so no bad wait in lines. Basically just tourists there. The decorations were good and we enjoyed it. There is a shopping center on the outside that’s really cool. We finished the park really quick and went there. Oh they do serve the beer butter. The staff was nice. Parking was easy.

I absolutely love this park now. There was a time where Universal was at the bottom of my list of theme parks to go to. The only thing to really do was just ride the tram. But with all the new worlds they've added, it's now towards the top of my list of places to visit in So Cal. From Transformers, to Minions to Life of Pets it's a must for kids. All the attention to detail is next level. You will not be disappointed.

Overall very fun and vibrant! Everyone, any age can enjoy this park. You really only need one full day to get through it all. Not a lot of great food choices so plan accordingly.

I’m 57 years old and I don’t like amusement parks. This was the best day in recent memory. Granted it was 10 AM on a Thursday morning, and we got to go on every single ride that we wanted to go on the most we waited was 20 minutes.

The staff were impeccably, kind and friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were plentiful and clean. The attention to detail is mind-boggling so so grateful for this day. I’ve never been here before and I will likely never come back, but this was a chefs kiss day. My niece and my son had a fantastic time!
