This agency is largely to blame for the gentrification of Marquette and the UP as a whole. For decades, generations of yoopers have done everything in their power to keep the UP off the map and to keep it a true hidden gem. It's something all yoopers grow up having engrained in them: KEEP THE UPPER PENINSULA UNKNOWN. In a matter of 10 years, this joke of a travel agency has effectively turned Marquette into Traverse City 2.0, which has led to nothing but condos for millionaires blocking Lake Superior and overpriced housing for the locals. Nothing but tourism in this town now, and there's no industry for people to have good jobs. Marquette has lost its small town feel, and doesn't even feel like the UP anymore thanks to the efforts of these bureaucrats. Oh well, as long as they make millions who cares, right? I mean, it's not their childhood home, right?
