We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Watson Boutique B&B for a family wedding. From the minute we arrived we were greeted by the Inn keeper, Scott, and made to feel like family. The Inn oozes warmth, coziness and is beautifully decorated. The baked goods (banana bread, cranberry bread, cheese bread and frittata) served for breakfast were delicious! And all lovingly made from scratch by Scott's wife, Beth. Beth and Scott were extremely gracious and accommodating, even when I accidentally locked our key in the room. We stayed in a room on the first floor that was beautiful. Our son (the best man) and his girlfriend had the two room suite upstairs which had a jacuzzi tub and is absolutely stunning! We can't wait to return and would highly recommend the Inn to anyone traveling through the area. You will not be disappointed! Enjoy...

We found the Watson Boutique B&B on TripAdvisor and our stay for one night lived up to the very high ratings from past quests. We had a very enjoyable stay, the breakfast was great, and the hosts (Scott and Beth) made our experience exceptional!

My husband and I stayed at the Watson before and after our wedding in early February. From the moment we walked in, Scott and Beth made us feel like we were home.

The decoration throughout is beautiful and lovingly curated, and our two room suite (Master Suite) was exceptionally clean, cozy, and perfect. We were able to have about 10 people in our suite at one point during the wedding preparations without it feeling crowded or overwhelming.

The real shining stars of the experience though were the hosts: it is clear that Scott and Beth take so much care with their guests, and their thoughtfulness on our wedding day made the experience all the more special. Beth even offered to babysit my best friend's children, who had the time of their life playing under her expert care.

The breakfast was generous, home-made and delicious (especially Beth's eggs and banana bread), and our hosts were more than happy to give area recommendations.

We could not have asked for a better place to stay, and we are so happy that we discovered this gem! We loved it, and will definitely be back!

We had a perfect bed and breakfast experience at The Watson. The first thing you notice is the carefully curated decor - there is eye candy everywhere you look. Our room was large and comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was excellent, especially the "secret ingredient" eggs and the Brazilian cheese bread. But what really made this a great place were the personable hosts who were never too busy to chat and provided excellent local dining recommendations. We would definitely stay here again!

My family and I were fortunate enough to be here throughout a weekend during a relatives wedding.
The building and furnishings, staff, cleanliness and hospitality all earned 5 stars. I have zero constructive criticism or complaints.
If you're looking for 5 star accommodations in Thompson, CT or the Putnam area, this place is fun and everything else!
I loved the aircraft furnishings the most, but the style seems to be French Farmhouse and it's lovely.

The Watson is simply an outstanding Bed and Breakfast. The property is beautiful, the rooms are immaculate, and the owners are warm and gregarious. My partner and I have stayed at many B&B’s, and this one was the first in which an owner offered to help carry our bags to our room.

You may have read another review boasting about how delicious their scrambled eggs are, and I wholeheartedly concur with that assessment. They shared with me their special ingredient, but I’ll not divulge what I’ve learned; you’ll have to stay there if you wish to know the secret.

My partner and I stayed at The Watson for work travels, and I cannot rave about it enough! From our warm and welcoming arrival, to the gorgeous room that were fresh and beautiful, our comfortable bed, the most delicious scrambled eggs of my life, and above all we truly were treated with such attention and care.
We were there on a photo assignment, and the flexibility and service they provided to us was unforgettable. We hope to come back one day!

In June we stayed at the most perfect little bed-and-breakfast in the northeast corner of Connecticut. It was beautiful and peaceful and a wonderful renovation job by the owners and their sweet friends. The accommodations and homemade breakfast were more than we could have asked for and our hosts were so lovely and friendly. Such a sweet couple, we would stay there again just to chat. Beautiful landscaping and grounds, there is a hammock and fire pit ready for relaxing, or some real board games and a fire inside if that is your preference. Excellent place to stay for a few days or a month!
