Had a reservation at 6. Service was very slow, seated shortly before 7 & finally got our food after 7:30 I had the braised short rib. It was really good, but for the price you pay, I was expecting more than 1 which was small & not lots of meat. The description even says braised short ribs. Otherwise everything was fine, friendly waitress.

Top notch food! I ordered through a “to go” order at the bar. I ordered the braised rib, the salmon, the wedge salad and the beet salad. Amazing 🤩
I bet Chicago could not hold this taste and price down! Nice job chefs 😘

I’m a stickler for service… ugh, me. Even though the young lady’s bar-tendering were nice… they’d do much better with giving customers eye contact.

The facility and staff are great but the food quality has changed and the last time we went we actually got cold food and were told that they were out of duck at 5 PM already. no big deal we just ordered other items but our food came out cold and there was no compensation on our bill Except for a free drink. they just continued to microwave the food twice for us, Because the steak wasn't even done correctly so they microwaved it once to warm it and then when it came back it was still bloody so they microwaved it again.. we paid full price for everything... I hate to complain or waste food so that is why we tried to allow them to reheat the meal but I was not satisfied with the overall experience and they really should have offered at least half off of our meal or on the house for what we had to go through... Obviously the problem is in the kitchen so they really need to make sure their staff is trained and know what they're doing. And really need to make sure that the food is quality. Especially for those prices. I can eat regular old food at home for cheaper that is hot and tasty. When you go out for a fine dining experience you really want to enjoy it. I'm not sure I will go back or recommend them now because I've tried a few times.

We ate here for the first time yesterday and it was incredible. At the recommendation of a regular at the bar we got the flat iron and the hot shrimp. Both were 10/10 and we can't wait to come back. The old fashioneds were spot on, french onion soup was delicious, and the cheese spread that came with the bread basket tasted homemade.

Phenomenal food and beverage. Wonderful service in a cozy and rustic lake-front setting. Nice accessibility in my power wheelchair, and the staff were great and accommodating.

My boyfriend and I went to The Shores the other day to celebrate our 12 year anniversary…it was everything we hoped for! The bartender made a good stiff drink, (but not overpowering), and more importantly the food was amazing. The duck wontons were unique, savory and perfectly crispy. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection and had a sweet pesto mint sauce that perfectly complemented them, and they did not taste gamey at all (good quality meat). The seafood mac and cheese did not disappoint with the creamy, savory sauce that had just the perfect amount of spice. I ate that for 3 days because of the huge portion, and the flavor held up. And of course our server, Ireland, was awesome. She was super friendly and personable, attentive but did not intrude, answered all of our questions, and just made us feel welcome and comfortable.

Went to eat for the first time. I took the suggestion of another reviewer that the ribs were fall off the bone. This is the only way I prefer them. They were to PERFECTION. We will be going back and going back...
Service was perfect as well. Her name is Ireland, and she was so awesome. Felt like a family member was serving us...in a good way, maybe you don't want some family members serving you...lol
