Since the lake was still frozen, no loons. But beautiful sunrise with lovely doe walking along deck. Spacious, wonderful, and relaxing. Will be back to play disc golf 💗☀️🎉🥰

We came to stay here while working remotely, just as a change of scenery. The internet was capable of two concurrent video meetings, and everything about the place was perfect for a human-free getaway. Walking along the Canadian border, playing with the frozen lake, walking in the peaceful snowy landscape and looking at animal footprints, all is perfectly idyllic.

We’ve stayed at the Loon View three times now. The beauty and serenity of the spot never gets old. There are great places to visit and eat around Pittsburg but just sitting on the deck and enjoying the view is our favorite. The home is immaculate and the owners are great to work with.

My wife and I had a fantastic week at the Loon View. We went to explore the area and rest. The house was like being at home except we didn't have to clean it. The house met my wife's high standards for cleanliness and comfort. Plenty to explore in the area. Great location if you hunt, snowmobile, or drive four wheelers. I had the opportunity to kayak on beautiful Lake Francis. We explored a lot of quiet roads looking for wildlife. Almost hit a bear. Yikes. Going up to the Canadian border was a beautiful drive. Plenty of places to eat or do takeout. Make sure you visit Green Acres to try their enormous sticky buns. Get there early before they run out. Hope you have as good a time as we did.

Had a blast staying at The Loon View this weekend and sailing! Also did a little kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, board gaming, oh and not to ever be forgotten- eating!!! The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, etc. For cooking eggs🍳,pancakes, bacon and delicious sausage gravy. The grill provided outside made perfect corn 😍🌽 And more! Rob and Susan are so gracious and accomodating, I cant wait to go again! As the terminator once said- "I'll, be, back"😀.

My family and I have been traveling to Pittsburg for many years and this place was the nicest that we've stayed at. The location was very close to town and restaurants. Although, it was on the main and busiest road you really wouldnt have known it either while sleeping, inside relaxing or on the back deck. The house itself was very clean, spacious, open, bright and beautifully decorated. My favorite part was the back deck which ran the length of the house. Being out on the deck we were able to sit or eat dinner out there. It was so peaceful and the view of lake francis was incredible. From the front of the property it doesnt look like much but man once you get inside and see the inside with the most gorgeous views of the lake from the master bedroom as well as from the living room and kitchen area you are immediately in love. We have a special needs son and the open space, large hallway and the cleanliness was amazing for him and we didnt worry one bit with him playing on the floor. The bathroom has a bathtub/shower combo which is hard to find in most places up there and made it so easy for our family and son. We were also able to get some laundry done since there is a washer and dryer which worked great when my son fell in some mud while on a hike. We drove up with 2 other families and hosted dinner one night. With the space, openness and the back deck we hosted everyone extremely comfortably. All our kids had a blast playing on the open field below the property. Although there was a bit of a walk to the field the kids didnt mind one bit and had lots of fun playing. The adults were able to watch the kids playing while sitting on the back deck. The owners were very friendly and went out of their way to be extra accommodating to make sure our stay with our son went smoothly. He even drove up beforehand to make sure we had some things there that we might need for our son. Oh, and did I mention that view!? Absolutely gorgeous. I would stay there again in a heartbeat and will absolutely reccomend the location to others. We have stayed at 4 other location (some of those were repeat visits at the same location over the years) however, this place was by far the cleanest and nicest place we've stayed. Absolutely the best time and the most relaxing which I believe was partly due to this property and how perfect it was for our needs and our family but especially for our son.
