Amazing place ... But the elevators were not working all the time. Mentioned it to the desk guy and he said that it happens from time to time ... just try it again. Tried it again, didn't work, walked up 7 flights of stairs.

Despite that, we still loved the experience. Felt very usable and modern. GREAT location

The location of this hotel is great, everything else was horrible.

To start off we got to the hotel had to walk up stairs with luggage to get in the door. The hotel was overpriced and we were not treated respectfully when checking in, the employee wrote down the room number on our cards and then handed them to us, we were not told where to park until we asked.

For a Hotel with such high praise I am not sure where the high ratings are coming from, I think people are delusional when rating this place 5 stars.

In to the room, the room is very minimalist, so if you have a partner/spouse with you don’t expect to sit anywhere. There are no chairs, no desk suitable for working off of and no couch to sit anywhere else.

I will never stay at this place again, once again location is great but everything else is horrid.

Staff was never helpful. There is no breakfast option. Coffee in room was tiny. Bathroom was dark. No place to relax unless you want to lay in bed all day.

After reading the positive reviews we had hoped for a better experience. Pros: nice design touches and an atmosphere that didn't feel generic. Great location and easy parking off-site or valet option. In room Nespresso machine. Powerful rain shower. On the flip side, the staff isn't very attentive and solutions oriented. The lobby smells like potpourri (gross!). Robe provided is way too small. TV is horrible looks like a smart TV but isn't cant cast to it and it functions very weirdly and few options for cable / streaming available. Not enough pods and milk provided and a pain in butt to request a kettle for tea. We thought you'd get a French press on the morning as a signature feature -- but not. There's no closet so you have to hang clothes on a wall!! Absolutely no meaningful perks for HHonors status members which was a major let down. Overall it's not a bad choice if you need to stay in the area and it has some charm. Yet it's marketing itself as a high end boutique luxury hotel and frankly not quite up to that standard.

The King bedroom we had was modern and spacious. Hotel filled my request for a rollabed as travelling with my daughter. Superb staff. I needed just a cup of milk from the Cafe, the nice lady provided it complementary. I do have bfast credit due to Diamond status, but I didn't mention this during this interaction. Just well trained and customer focused staff. Excellent location and just a 5 minute walk to Stamford Train Station.

I had originally given this a 4 star, 100% based on the size of the room. However, I didn't think that was fair. The service was outstanding! Everyone was so kind and helpful!! The room is a little on the small size, but it was very clean, bathroom was clean and very nice. Definitely would stay here again when in Stamford!

I had a wonderful stay at The Lloyd this week. The staff were very attentive and the room was lovely. Perfect location right in downtown Stamford. Lots of restaurants and things to check out while you’re in Stamford. A special thanks to the gentleman working the valet, I never got his name but he was extremely helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

It pains me to leave such a poor review, but I feel it is appropriate given my experience. When I arrived, I was told that I did not pay for my reservation despite this being a pre-paid reservation, booked directly with Hilton. Regardless, miss-haps happen all the time so I didn't hold it against them too much. Ultimately, I was forced to have the entire reservation charged to my card again if I wanted to continue checking in. The back and forth with the front desk made me late to a very important meeting that I had to attend, leaving me a bit frustrated. Additionally, the front desk had stated that it was my responsibility to call Hilton directly to get this sorted out, which I did. Hilton customer support communicated that this was an error on the Hotel's end and that they should be following up with me with an apology and some sort of reimbursement, of which I received neither. As a Hilton Honors Gold member, I expected a higher level of professionalism, especially given this error laid entirely with the hotel.

Everything about this place says "stay here, it feels like home and cozy" very clean, staff is friendly and professional. Rooms are exceptionally spacious. It is walking distance to so many places and restaurants. I truly loved staying at this hotel.
