This is one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever visited, flawless in every detail. I visited on a busy September weekend when moldy Manhattan hotels were charging $600 a night, yet James’ single room was just $210—without any hidden fees. How could anyone complain?||||The beauty lies in its artistic harmony. We stayed in Room 2 on the ground floor, a room with a brown theme where the lighting and colors were simply exquisite—every photo is Instagram-worthy. Our window looked out onto a corner of the garden, almost like gazing at a painting. As night fell and the garden lights came on, it felt like watching starlit romance. Every inch of the space showcases the designer’s aesthetic touch, something you would only expect to find for $1,600 a night in Manhattan! (And as someone who just stayed at the St. Regis for that price, I can vouch for this!) Plus, they even offer breakfast!||||The bathroom is pink and perfectly coordinated. I hadn’t had the chance to soak in a bath in three years, but here, I finally did. The bathtub was new and sparkling clean. Though the hotel dates back to 1904, it doesn’t have the kind of decay or “charmingly old” issues that you often find in Manhattan hotels. You can enjoy a bath here with peace of mind. Bath salts are also available for purchase if you want a stress-relieving soak. The lighting in the pink bathroom creates a soft brown hue—an ideal backdrop for capturing beautiful photos.||||Beyond the thoughtful design of the furniture and color schemes, they also enhance the guest experience with nice touches like a refrigerator, bath towels, and even two cookies upon arrival, which made my son very happy.||||If I had to list any downsides: 1) There’s no elevator in this old building, which might not be stroller-friendly, but I don’t think it’s a big deal; 2) The staff finishes their shift at 6 PM, so any requests after that might not be accommodated—luckily, we didn’t run into any issues; 3) Some garden features, like a fire pit, might not be available; 4) The location is in a residential neighborhood, not downtown, so there aren’t many restaurants or bars nearby, and the beach is more rustic, not as fine-sand as Asbury Park. But honestly, this hotel is perfect for unwinding and reflecting—its tranquility is unmatched.||||If I were to rate it out of 10, I’d give it a full 10—it’s just perfect for me.

A nice, unfussy option for a Bradley Beach vacation with a homey feel. The room was modest but adequate, like the breakfast buffet. My complaint is with the management - who I wanted to contact to discuss at least a partial refund for the first night of our four night stay, when we arrived a day late due to the cancellation of our flight from Portland OR to NJ at the last minute. The overworked staff was very friendly, but directed me to the manager - who was very hard to get in touch with. I had to call and email REPEATEDLY before tracking him down, and then he was very brusque. We travel a lot, air travel these days is increasingly unreliable and stressful, and more often than not hotels are willing to work with you because they want your business. I would never return to or recommend a hotel doesn't value me as a customer.

THE most stylish and relaxing beach hotel you can dream up on the Jersey Shore. I stayed here on a recommendation of a friend and was delighted that I booked it. I felt recharged after my mini-cation at The James Bradley. I stayed in the James Master Suite and have to say I was impressed - from the tasteful decor to the linens, it was a real getaway. The room came fully stocked with yummy à-la-cart goodies. The staff was really nice and accommodating. They suggested great spots in town to eat. Don’t miss the breakfast buffet - the granola was top tier. Best of all, the beach was a 2 minute walk!

This hotel is a touch of Heaven! The zen vibe greets you at the door and never leaves. There are several outdoor seating areas. All are lovely. The linens and bedding are lovely! The staff is attentive without being intrusive. There are several cooked to order options for breakfast on the weekend . |It’s only 2 short blocks to the beach! Perfect.

We stayed at The James Bradley for a wedding in town. We had a 2 night stay and we were able to check in early. Our stay started off great!
The room was not what I expected out of a boutique hotel. It was very dark and had minimal light. We had no fridge in the room and the cleanliness of the room was also questionable and the only seating was the bed.
In the middle of the night our bathroom door locked. Although it was probably our fault, we tried to call the front desk to alert them of the issue to find out that they leave at 10pm.
The front desk closes?
My husband had to find other places to relieve himself until the next morning because we could not locate the hotel staff! For 500 dollars per night, that is not acceptable!
We will not be referring this hotel to anyone!

Cant beat the location or ambiance. Super quick walk to a main beach entrance/place to buy badges/bath houses. The hotel lets you borrow towels, chairs and umbrellas! They're amazing quality too, just like everything else in the place...

This is place is Instagrammable from top to bottom. A wonderful big porch is perfect to seek refuge from the sun, and there is a fire pit and private backyard with an outdoor shower too.

Every inch of the space is brand new and immaculately curated. The beds and sheets were super comfortable. There wasnt a mini fridge in our room but it's not really a mini fridge kinda place. I loved the really cool picture frame smart TV and the staff. Shout out to Renee for being so sweet and helpful. <3 Love that they don't allow kids under 5 y/o and i love the proximity to Asbury park and the other cute, yummy restaurants Bradley beach town has to offer!
