Very cool hotel. Stayed for an overnight with my sister. Love love love the nostalgic vibe with actual keys for the rooms. Very cozy and inviting. Staff is very attentive, accommodating, and friendly. The best cappuccino maker that's available 24/7!!! Pool table, games, plenty to keep you entertained. Loved this place, I will be back with friends 🥰🥰

Loved this hotel for a one-night getaway to Portsmouth! Tons of character, perfectly kept, modern bathroom, extremely comfortable bed and pillows. The staff is professional, courteous and helpful. To top it off, a very nice European style breakfast in a bright glassed-in dining patio. Great choice, highly recommend.

The room was luxurious with plenty of space for the two of us. A very comfortable seating area with sunshine streaming in through the three large windows. The bed was cozy and comfortable with multiple pillows to choose from. The staff was most helpful in dinner recommendations. The Hotel is within walking distance to everything downtown and the parking in the rear of the Hotel was a definite plus! There is a lovely private garden area out back to sit, read, relax and soak up the sunshine. Breakfast was delicious and more than enough to start one's day! We stayed only one night, but we'll be back to take in more of Portsmouth's flavors and history. Thank you!

We loved how inviting and cozy the spaces were. The interior design was on point. I loved how the doors were disguised as bookshelves downstairs. Every space was so carefully thought about. We hung out in the common areas and enjoyed our room! Breakfast was just right! Coffee was perfect. Staff was very welcoming.

Nice hotel in a great part of Portsmouth. Rooms are eclectic but unfortunately ours was a little dirty. When we arrived there were still candy wrappers on the floor from the previous guests. The floor never did get cleaned during our two night stay. The bathroom was tiny in our deluxe king and no view to speak of. Staff was very friendly, beautiful hotel. Private parking which is free and free Wi-Fi which is fast.

My wife and I stayed one night at The Hotel Portsmouth after seeing some excellent music at the Press Room. We have stayed here once previously in January, 2025. We really love this place! Very comfortable beds and very friendly staff. We enjoyed the self serve breakfast both times. We are hoping to stay there in the future. We hope the downstairs bar is staffed for us to enjoy a drink. Highly recommend staying here!

My husband and I truly enjoyed staying at The Hotel Portsmouth! The location is super convenient to the main shops and restaurants, so we were able to walk to mostly everything. The staff were all super friendly and helpful with recommendations, and the rooms were clean and cozy. The breakfasts provided fresh options to get our day started, which was certainly an added bonus. We would definitely return in the future!

I truly enjoyed my stay at this beautiful and cozy Hotel Portsmouth. The staff were delightful, and helpful. The facility was clean and beautiful! The interior design of each room made it so cozy! The location was walkable to many areas. The breakfast choices were varied and healthy. I really could not say enough about how much I felt welcomed. The little bar downstairs was a nice touch with a pool table.
