It's too expensive for all the basic cooking mistakes. I ordered fingerling potatoes cooked in duck fat but received boiled potatoes instead. My wife's potatoe au gratin was cold and for some reason was just sliced potatoes in broth. Our protein was excellent, but applebees could cook me a better side dish. I complained about the au gratin, but then they just reheated it and didn't fix the cooking mistake. I felt uncomfortable continuing to complain beyond that.

I know what confit is, your low key insult is unprofessional and unwanted. You messed up the confit.

As someone who has been in the restaurant business working w famous chefs for over 25 years, it isn’t often that I’m blown away. The decor, the vibe and most importantly the food was spectacular!!! I will be coming here whenever I’m in the area.

Came here with my husband for dinner. Love that they source local where possible for their menu. Service was patient and attentive.

Shared the mushroom toast appetizer - generous portion-size and got my husband and I back into adding them to our regular meals.

I had the lamb dish and my husband had the indian-inspired dish. Lamb was sourced from a local farm - and was cooked to perfection.

Husband was happy with his food as well.

Enjoyed dinner here for a wedding anniversary. Food and drinks were top notch. The best food we have had since our honeymoon. But better than imaginable was the service. I stood up looking for the restroom. Immediately the host came over and ask what I needed. This attention to the guest is outstanding. Our food and drinks came in perfect sequence. When we ordered wine as our food was delivered they expedite the wine and had it to us before I had my napkin on my lap. It is also worth noting that the great attention didn’t detract from the relaxed atmosphere were we could dine comfortably. Highly recommend this place when you want to all to be taken care of.

Had a fantastic dinner at the restaurant.
Delicious from appetizers to entrees. The biscuits were fabulous. Great scallops served with creamy grits and broccolini. The Indian platter was delicious.
Excellent service from Emily who was very friendly and attentive.

WOW, where do I begin to describe such a fantastic dining experience the three of us had on Thanksgiving at The Grazing Room. It was our first time there so we weren't sure exactly what to expect especially because in our decades of dining out we've learned that holidays sometimes cause a restaurant to be pushed to its limits which can sacrifice quality and service. However that was not the case with The Grazing Room at all. Upon entering we immediately were greeted warmly and the entrance way is SO adorable with its little goodies for purchase and adorable coat "room." Our table allowed us to enjoy the wintery scenery and our server was knowledgeable and friendly yet professional and courteous. The meal was without a doubt world-class, and we've eaten at some well known establishments so have a reasonably good knowledge of what qualifies. If you're reading this then you should find a reason to make a reservation here as soon as possible. Personally I venture to say that it was one of the top meals that I've ever had at a restaurant (please see picture of my roast pork with roasted root vegetables attached).

The entire experience from the homemade assortment of breads, and heated plates and bowls to ensure our meals were served hot, to the recently ironed linen table runner and elegant glassware, all came together to make one of the most memorable family restaurant holiday experiences of our lives. I love to cook but as a family we also adore a relaxing holiday meal out because we can enjoy each other without us fighting in the kitchen and me ending up exhausted and at my wits end at the end of the evening.

This is truly a destination restaurant and those considering visiting The Grazing Room at Colby Hill Inn should take the leap of faith. We did and are better for it! Our deepest gratitude goes out to everyone who is part of the team that made our Thanksgiving dinner so memorable at The Grazing Room!!
