Lived there for one year, had a great experience. They communicate everything and are prompt with responses. The unit was clean and organized, everything worked. We had no pests. They will accept cats. We got our security deposit back in a timely manner, they only kept enough money to clean, which we new about and was outlined in the terms. I highly recommend this company as a rental.

CheneyCo has been an amazing place to rent from. Competitive rent rates are a huge selling point for me because most apartment companies are way over priced. They are very responsive to any request that may come up. The have emergency lines that are available 24/7. The snow care is superb, they shovel every step and sidewalk and salt right up to your door. They send out emails 24 hours in advance when they need you to move a car for snow plowing. I am currently moving from one CheneyCo apartment to another and they are making that move o easy. There are not enough good things to say about Cheney.

For the complainants about security deposits, they tell you before you move in what will come out of your deposit when you move. It’s not a surprise. They try to let you know anything and will be happy to answer any questions you have throughout your renting experience.

Shoutout to Lisa and Lori who has always been responsive, polite, and helpful during any communication. You truly make renting from you guys an amazing experience!

I really enjoyed living in my Cheneyco apartment. The office staff is very friendly, and so are the maintenance people. Phones were always answered and emails were always responded to.

The apartments are very reasonably priced, and are well maintained. Ours (on River St) had an amazing view of the lamprey river, a great yard, and a deck/raft for water access. Snow removal is very well done, and they came multiple times per storm.

These people are amazing!! We’ve only been here for just over a week and Lisa has responded quickly to every one of our requests. Shanne, the maintenance manager, genuinely cares about making sure that things are in good working order. He just left a minute ago after cleaning out our dryer vent and reattaching the dryer. They also had our carpets cleaned the day after we moved in because my wife had smelled urine. I didn’t smell it at first, but I checked the spots she marked with painters tape and it was definitely urine. Lisa and Shanne responded the same day I told them of the smell and the next day they had our carpets cleaned. It doesn’t smell any more. They have done other small things as well, while we work out the kinks of moving into a new place. All in all, I am highly impressed with their responsiveness, professionalism and quality of service.

Cheney has been a great place to rent from! The apartments are nice, staff are friendly, $rent is competitive, maintenance and snow removal are quick to respond. We have been here a few years now and it has been a good locations for grad students--nice and quiet, short walk to bus.

I've rented from Cheney quite a bit over the last 20 years. Staff is very pleasant, maintenance is quick to respond, and units and grounds were always well maintained. We recently decided it was time to go back to ownership and used their buyer's agent service. Deb and Lisa made it a tolerable process, arranging viewings, explaining stuff along the way, and helping us find a home with all the stuff on our want list. Deb even contacted us while she was on vacation to see how things were going! I highly recommend this service for anyone looking to get out of renting.

Be prepared to not only pay a monthly pet fee if you have a pet, but then lose about 30% if not more of your security deposit to cleaning and carpet cleaning fees from a Company called Endeavor Realty. When I reached out to Debbie Wilson to discuss I was told "I don't know anything about the cleaning business". I asked to speak to Endeavor Realty directly, she said that was not possible. I asked for a meeting and was given 9 minutes to discuss then was told she had another meeting that was apparently more important. I have rented 2 apartments from them over the past 5 years and in total have paid out about $1000 in non refunded security deposit. Long story short, its unfortunate that a company like this exists in such a great community. If possible I would avoid this company at all cost.
