I don't take the time to write many reviews but this place is worth it! Two words: Absolutely stunning! The host was super responsive, tentative and genuinely interested in making our experience superb. The house is simply beautiful -- clean, tastefully decorated, mucho amenities and FABULOUS Kitchen! I am a cook and I did not need for anything in the kitchen! We rarely left the property because it is so peaceful, beautiful and pristine. The jacuzzi was fantastic, and the remainder of the property was gorgeous -- cowboy pool, sun bed, patio and at peace nature! There is a bird feeder and we watched the birds, squirrels, etc. every morning and evening. I cannot recommend this property enough! So private and serene! Highly, highly recommend! Thank you John and Deva. We will be back!

What an incredible property, it is perfect for a small family or a large group. YOu can hike, enjoy the cowboy tub or stay the night outside on the floating bed. Sunrise and sunsets are amazing and house and all of the amenities were so perfect. Thanks John and Dave!

What an oasis! The two of us spent four days at Sweet Rock just after the new year and feel we've really gotten 2021 off to the right start. There's just no way to beat the location, nestled in and amongst so many sculptural outcroppings of beautiful rock formations. The trails are right out the back door. The hot tub is exactly as advertised: the best anywhere in the desert -- especially with the lights off and the full desert sky above you. We were particularly entranced by the meditative experience of watching the little dusky chipmunks, finches, Gambel's quails, road runners, thrashers and other desert critters hungrily devouring the bird seed that John and Deva have provided for guests to keep filling up the feeder hanging in the Joshua tree right off the back porch. We couldn't have had a nicer stay. The king bed in the main bedroom is uber-comfy. The kitchen is generous. We brought food enough that we made most of our own meals. Everything in the house is labeled with meticulous care. John's artwork on the walls is one of the home's delights. We found the desert so calming we barely made it out into town to enjoy all the shops, galleries and gardens. This leaves plenty for us to do on our next visit. We can't recommend Sweet Rock Ranch and Deva and John, as hosts, highly enough!

What a total treat! Such a welcome escape and treat for the soul. Everywhere you look is something to behold. The rocks, the sky, the vegetation, the critters! I've never felt so relaxed. Everything you need is here and staying at Sweet Rock is totally comfortable and easy. I wish I could go back every weekend and escape. Such a gem and a total find. You won't be disappointed!

John and Deva's place is FANTASTIC destination place. You can go there and just stay it the silence and watch the bunny and bird show in the morning. My grandma loved the early morning animal show as well and the fully stocked kitchen and wonderful property.

Comfortable size house for 8 guests (4 couples). Great kitchen for cooking. Beautiful seating around house and outdoors for lounging or reading. We loved watching little wild life enjoy the bird feeder.
