For the price it’s a great option! The rooms are clean and have everything you’d need, beds are comfortable has a heater and air conditioner. Some of things are a little rough around the edges but nothing is dingy or dirty. Overall great experience

I came to SLO to visit my cousin and this motel was good for a couple nights. I noticed the floors were pretty dirty, and the window lets in a ton of light in the morning so just be aware. Parking is first come first serve so make sure not to get there too late. Other than that it’s decent for the price and the staff is friendly.

Great little hotel run by a local guy that is super nice and tries to take care of all his guests. Clean rooms, good internet, great location and all at a great price.

What a great little place. Peaceful, restful and a pure relaxing time. This is a small family run motel, rooms are small but very clean and up date with off street parking (no charge.) If you are looking for a restful, inexpensive, quite, get a away this is the place. The local SLO shuttle bus stops close by to take you to downtown or its a 20 min walk. Great for couples or business traveler.

Stayed here during the week not knowing what to expect. Room was probably one of the best Monterey Street motels in SLO. Clean, quiet, and easy walking distance to downtown SLO. Parking is tight but plenty of street parking is available. I would absolutely stay here again!

This is a nice little motel operated by a local guy. The room was very nice. I appreciated the wood laminate floor instead of the typical old carpeting, and the small microwave and refrigerator were also nice features. The bed was fresh and very comfortable. Our host was also helpful in suggesting some great options for dinner places in town. There is some construction going on as they rebuild the office, but there was no noise at all, plenty of parking, and no inconvenience. I recommend this place to anyone staying in the SLO area.

I come to SLO multiple times a year and since discovering Sunbeam I won’t stay anywhere else. The rooms are clean, location is walking distance to downtown and a very short drive to Cal Poly. Jerry the owner is extremely helpful and easy to get a hold of.
