Lovely! A trip around the lake during summertime is truly enchanting. I hadn't realized just how vast the lake was until I reserved a seat on the boat excursion. We opted for the dinner cruise, and while we were delighted by the scenic ride across the shimmering waters, the food unfortunately left a lot to be desired. The captain was quite engaging, sharing interesting stories and facts about the lake and its surroundings, which made the experience more enjoyable. The other passengers on the cruise were also friendly and contributed to a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere.

Overall, it was a good experience that I would definitely like to repeat. However, next time, I think I’ll skip the meal and focus instead on the beautiful scenery. I would recommend taking a stroll around the harbor either before or after the cruise; it’s a lovely walk with picturesque views. There’s also a charming local boutique store nearby where you can find unique souvenirs or handcrafted items to remember your visit. It’s definitely worth spending some time exploring!

I went on the dinner cruise last night 7/14/24. The whole experience was amazing from booking the reservation to the end of the cruise. I was running late and couldn’t find parking and sunapee cruises called me and had me park right at the dock and waited for me to arrive. I got there and was greeted and welcomed and they were just so kind! We were walked to our seats and we immediately took off out of the harbor. The captain was amazing- very knowledgeable about Lake Sunapee and told us bits of information as we made our way down the lake. We saw multiple light houses, tons of beautiful houses including Steven Tyler’s house on the lake as well! Lots of people were out on their boats and everyone was so friendly and always waving at us that were on the Lake Queen! The sunset was absolutely beautiful, the food was delicious and the whole staff was so friendly and amazing! If you’re looking for something to do then I highly recommend this! They offer the scenic cruise in the afternoon and the dinner cruise around 630pm and both last two hours. Children are welcome as well. There are bathrooms on board, you can get up from your seats and walk around while cruising the lake! They play great music when the captain isn’t telling you great information about the lake.

We enjoyed this cruise. The kite board rider added some excitement when he lost his wind while crossing in front of us. The captain was professional, and the food was delicious. The waitress was a bit abrupt but mostly attentive and quick with a smile. The speakers on the inside upper deck were not working, which made hearing the tour information challenging. I do recommend it and would do it again.

I had an amazing cruise on Lake Sunapee yesterday! The scenery was breathtaking, the staff was friendly, and the overall experience was incredibly relaxing. I would definitely do it again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great way to spend a day on the water.

Our cruise was a 2:00pm afternoon departure. We got prime seats on the top deck in front of the captain. This was a guided tour so the captain told us little tidbits about things as we passed them. He was awesome and you could tell he loved Lake Sunapee. When he wasn't cajoling us with facts, the speakers played an abundance of awesome music. Drinks and snacks were available at very good prices and there was a bathroom on board. All in all, a very delightful hour and a half tour around a beautiful lake.

I was part of a group of 8 that went on the dinner cruise. It was a very pleasant experience beginning at phone reservations right through the cruise. The boarding process was smooth and we were impressed that the captain himself checked people in and helped get everyone to their reserved tables. The staff was ready to take drink orders right away and the bartenders kept up with the orders - not a small feat when about 100 people order within 10 to 15 minutes! We thought the food served at the buffet dinner was delicious. The staff notified each table when it was their turn to go to the buffet which also kept things running smoothly. There was plenty of space for anyone who wanted to go outside on the upper decks. The lake itself is beautiful with many beautiful homes on the shore. It was difficult to hear the captain’s narration which is understandable during a dinner cruise. The price of the ticket includes a two hour ride along with dinner. We felt it was a great value and a super fun activity for a girls away weekend trip.

I would give this service 6 stars if I could!!! Every time we come into town we go on a Sunapee cruise and it's amazing! If you are debating it, doooo it! So fun for all ages.

Tickets- they can be bought right online. We always go for the scenic lake tour.

Seats- They start boarding about 15-20 minutes before they leave. Get there early!!!!! You can get the seat of your choice that way. There is seating on the ground level (mostly tables) or if you go up top there are a lot of chairs all around.

What to wear- sunscreen!! You do sit directly in the sun if you sit up top. You may want to bring a light jacket because it can be breezy, but I was fine without one. Be careful of any hats you wear since it is breezy!

The ride- the captain is so great about giving facts about the lake and houses on the lake. It is the perfect amount of talking. They also play light "yacht rock" music in the background. They don't go too fast and it is SUCH an enjoyable ride. There is a bathroom on board and you can purchase drinks (a full bar) and snacks. The crew was very nice and helpful when we had questions. They made sure the ride was exactly 90 minutes and even took us into a cool cove they don't normally go into when it was looking like we were going to arrive back early.

I have never done the dinner cruise. It's the same ride but for $23 more it's a buffet style dinner from the Appleseed restaurant. The only con of that is there is no outdoor seating on that boat.
