The Capt. Nathaniel Clarke house was a great place for several guests and I to enjoy spending time together, in celebration of my cousins upcoming wedding. Yvette was a great host as well! She was very responsive and informative. The house itself is quite the treat to stay in. It is a much older house than most, but with all of the comforts of a modern day dwelling. There was plenty of parking, a gorgeous fire pit area outside dotted in early bloom flowers, and more than enough space inside to accommodate us 7. Just walking around the inside of this amazing homestead was enjoyable. There is artwork everywhere, interesting nautical themed memorabilia, and tons of books old and new alike. We were all very impressed, and would enjoy coming back in the future!

We had a wonderful winter weekend. Three generations under one roof with a cozy fire. Beds are very comfortable. Our host communicated very well and was flexible.

I stood at this historic property with my family and a group of old friends last October. We had wonderful memories in the beautiful New England fall. The colors in the yard were spectacular. We enjoyed especially staying around the fire-pit in the evening. Yvette was the perfect host, excellent communication. I wished the yard was fenced for my 2 Frenchies to run free but the place is very large and understandably it’s not easy to fence. All in one i plan to come back and highly recommend.

My girl friends and I stayed at Yvette's History Property for a girls night in Old Saybrook. Yvette was extremely accommodating with the reservation and details. The property was spacious, well curated and beautiful with all the historic details, artwork and books galore. Would absolutely stay again if our travels bring us there!

I recently stayed at the Spaces of the Heart ‘Nathaniel Clark House’ located in Old Saybrook, CT during our late Summer/early Fall trip. The home is a beautiful 1700s historic landmark home with 5 bedrooms, conveniently located along Connecticut’s historic shoreline. Upon arrival, we were happy to find plenty of space for parking as our party included 7 of us in 4 cars. We immediately saw a spacious back yard with plenty of outdoor spaces to relax which included a picnic table under a lovely white canopy, and a fire-pit with plenty of chairs to sit around it. The owner was very nice and accommodating, never failing to make sure we had everything we needed, and was even thoughtful enough to have provided us with bicycles which we took advantage of. Every room in the home was beautiful, and provided comfort and convenience while also capturing the essence of the era of which the home was built (1790s). There was plenty to do and see, including Connecticut’s shoreline beaches, nearby museums, historical landmarks such as Gillette’s Castle, Mystic Seaport and downtown, and Essex Steam Train and Riverboat, among many others. And plenty of wonderful restaurants and shops just minutes away from the home. We will definitely consider staying at this house again on our next trip to Connecticut!

I will not recommended for this house. In the morning time with out my permission she came in side of the house even she came in my room while I was sleeping cursing me out why I’m still sleeping when I was only 5 minutes late. I never seen worse person like that
