Absolutely fabulous tour with Cactus Jack. He’s highly knowledgeable and tells stories in an entertaining but informative manner (accompanied by photos and snakes skins when appropriate). I have a totally new appreciation for the desert. I’ll never consider a cactus as just a spiky plant again.

Highlight of our trip. Wish we had done it the first day instead of last because we learned so much! Our young kids were engaged the whole time spotting animals, eating cactus fruit, learning about the years of local plants - and even seeing ancient grinding stones! Highly recommend Cactus Jack. So many great stories of the old West along with knowledge of the local plants.

Had friends in town for the weekend and decided to have Brandy give us one of her famous desert tours. We all enjoyed our experience immensely. Brandy is incredibly knowledgeable about all desert flora and fauna, and clearly enjoys sharing her knowledge with her clients. She tailors her tours to meet your areas of interest and is very thorough in her explanations. All this while being one of the most beautiful and delightful people you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. A great experience!!

Having lived here for 30 years and loving it, wanted my nephew visiting from Minnesota to learn a bit about the desert. Wow! I was the one who learned so much! Makenzie, our guide, had such enthusiasm in her knowledge of the desert! The 4 of us on the ride were hanging on every word! From prickly pear juice to tasting cholla to learning about woodpeckers and their homes in the saguaros! The hour went by too quickly! Even if you live here you will be amazed! Makenzie was above and beyond what we expected!

HIGHLY recommend a tour with Brandy. She gave us a tour of the Boulders resort/community highlighting many of the flora and fauna on the property. She is simply outstanding. Yes, deep knowledge of all the nature to be seen. She pointed out all the various types of cactus and plants - and even let us sample a couple edible varieties. Fascinating background and info on the wildlife in the area.

But what really sets Brandy apart is her super friendliness and obvious love of all that nature has to offer. Have you ever met one of those people who you just feel like is an instant good friend? That is Brandy. Just a warm, fun and positive person who made the whole experience special for us. We were with her for two hours, felt like 5 minutes, but could easily have spent the whole day learning from her and having a great time.

Brandy made learning about the Sonoran an amazing adventure. We tasted the plant life. Heard and learned about the different varieties of birds. It was also a team building experience. It brought us all together in another part of our environment. I highly recommend her and her tour!

We had a fascinating tour of the plant and animal life in the Sonoran desert this morning with Brandy. She is so knowledgeable and shared as much as she could into our 90 minute tour. We learned all about the ecosystem in the desert with fascinating stories about the interdependence of wildlife and plant life.
