Affordable and clean Motel that offers a small room and bed to sleep in. The room we were in smelled musty, in turn so did our belongings once we left the establishment. We stayed for one night. Super friendly owners and very clean room, minus the smell. The step getting into the office and our hotel room were very high. It is difficult for elderly and shorter people while carrying things from car to room.

I lucked out in finding this gem and getting even luckier when they had a last minute vacancy. I'm actually here today and I can tell you THIS is the place to stay! The staff (two ladies and a man) are all so friendly, smiling, helpful, and nice! The room? WOW is my word. I got an end unit so that was nice. All the outside doors have storm doors so you can open them and get more sunlight - how nice is that? The mattress, not sure what it is, but it feels like a big fluffy pillow and is SO comfortable. The room is very clean, and it has a microwave, fridge and freezer (not a dorm size but bigger!). The water is hot and pressure is high. You can park right outside your door which, for me, is a must safety and convenience features. It's a short drive off I95 and has many food options very close (try Al's Seafood next door!). I would definitely recommend this place and stay here again should I get the chance!!

We spent one night at this small, super quiet family owned motel. Management was helpful with booking. Room 7 was cozy, perfectly clean and well maintained (fresh paint, impeccable bedspread -and the small refrigerator and microwave oven both looked new). There is a picnic area with grills for guests to use, which is a nice touch. Location is good, with many shops and restaurants nearby. The only downsides: the mattress was a bit tired, one bed linen had a tear at the seams and the AC was not super efficient. Overall, I give the Slumber Manor 4 stars because cleanliness and peacefulness are more important than a rip in a bed sheet.

We called late on our way through for a place to stay. The fella that owns it with his wife was extremely friendly. Rooms were excellent and clean!

Not to mention the cheapest rate of anyone around. It was a pleasant and easy experience. We will definitely stop here again our next time through!

While the room was a bit crowded, it was well worth the service, the location, and, of course, the price! Perfectly nestled into it's own quaint park-like setting, close to numerous restaurants and shops, this little treasure trove WILL be revisited!
Housekeeping was super nice, thorough and professional, too!

Had a delightful stay 18-19 Aug 14!! Joanne was extremely friendly and helpful!! Room was extra clean and fresh. Not an upscale motel, but quiet and peaceful and just what we wanted for our stay. Walking distance to two excellent restaurants. We will definitely be staying at the Slumber Manor again!!!

We stayed here two nights while we were in town for a wedding. We just booked a room and were given the last one available and we were pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be a two-storey suite with a kitchen, bath and living room downstairs and bedroom in the loft upstairs, in a building adjacent to the main motel. It would not be suitable for anyone who can't climb stairs, of course, but it was perfect for us, very clean and comfortable with everything you would need (dishes, coffee maker, kettle, soap, iron etc.) When we came back from the wedding late at night we discovered that some of the power was out and the owner came to help us immediately and spent an hour in the middle of the night trying to resolve the problem which turned out to be nothing to do with the place (one leg of a transformer down the road had blown). Great central location - we had a nice breakfast at the Copper Kettle across the road and a great dinner at The Barley House a few doors down.

I booked a reservation for my 21-year old daughter who has a developmental disability but who is highly functioning. The girl who made the reservation was the daughter of the owners. It's a family run business for the past 38 years. I went by to confirm and spoke to the husband and told him about my daughter's special needs. He confirmed the reservation and said, "don't worry, we'll take good care of her". A 1/2 hour later, his wife leaves a voicemail that they "booked our reservation in the wrong month, and sorry we have no rooms available." Coincidence, I think not!! Needless to say, they will NEVER get my business again nor would I recommend them to anyone. To have lasted this many years in business, is a miracle. If you have low standards and don't care about rude people, this is the place for you.
