I stayed here for two nights in March 2025. This was one of the best hotels I've stayed at in recent memory. The rooms are in great condition, the beds are comfortable, and everything was super clean. As an elite member, I received a room upgrade and access to the executive lounge which had a small (but great) breakfast buffet. The hotel also has a great bar and restaurant. All the staff I met were really pleasant. While hotel parking is expensive, this time of year I had no trouble finding street parking. I would definitely stay here again.

Donna checked us in at the front desk when we arrived on St. Patrick's Day. She is very helpful and sweet and an absolute pleasure to talk with! There were cute St. Patrick necklaces and trinkets for guests set up on a table when we came into the lobby that were replaced later in the night with chocolate cupcakes with buttercream, mint frosting. | We walked to all our favorite spots and wound up the night at the hotel bar, with the bartender, Dan. Not only does Dan make a mean martini, but his menu suggestions were on point! Trust and believe that everyone deserves a bowl of rich, chocolate gelato and some blueberry crisp. Both, suggested by Dan, and devoured by two very happy guests. |The room was set up nicely and the bed was so comfortable!|We will be going back this summer.

Just wanted to give a shout out to the amazing staff at Sheraton Harborside!|Everyone we encountered was so pleasant, welcoming, and friendly. Sue, in the club breakfast area, deserves special recognition...she is definitely an asset to your hotel with her warmth, attentiveness, and stellar attitude!|In addition to the amazing staff, we found the hotel clean, the beds comfortable, and the food and beverages delicious. The location was both picturesque and perfect. We were able to walk to dinner and our show.|If you need accommodations in Portsmouth, we highly recommend this outstanding hotel! |

The service was great. Front desk was friendly, wait staff was wonderful as was the valet staff.
The room was lovely with a few things that could be better. The lighting in the bathroom wasn't very good, it would have been better if the light on the little round mirror worked. The only other issue we had, we stayed in room 226, was that it looked as though someone at some point has tried to kick the door to the room in. The bottom of the door is separated to the point that you can see the details of the hallway rug and a lot of light is let in from the hallway at night.
The food was very good, the Maine Wild Blueberry Crisp was amazing.

Went for a weekend getaway. It was very busy as it was unbeknownst to us the Christmas season opening weekend. That said our room was ready upon arrival but the restaurant was understaffed and it showed. Hotel was clean, well decorated and over all very nice. There was a huge real gingerbread house in the lobby that was something to see. Nice bar/ restaurant area with large windows but not much to look at except humongous piles of sand by the river.

Really nice Hotel. Check in was great and both ladies were very friendly. Gave me a room upgrade without asking. Valet guys were both fantastic. The woman in the Marriot club lounge was so sweet and hard working. I think her name was Sue. All employees were exceptional. Location is perfect for walking around Portsmouth. Only reason I didn't give the room 5 stars is because the sink in the bathroom wouldn't drain. No biggie and I'm sure if I called, they would have fixed it.

This place is going completely nuts for Christmas. In addition to extensive decor and a gift wrapping station for guest convenience, they are decorating a life size genuine edible materials construction gingerbread house. The whole lobby smells like heaven. I've never seen anything like it in my life. If you live nearby this is worth visiting. Yesterday they let me help with stringing the icing mortar, and as a thank you they upgraded my registration to club access and left a lovely gift in my room.

I stay here a lot on business, lately I have noticed some issues and tonight as I began to take a shower, the water didn't get hot enough, but my hair was already wet, when I realized the shampoo container was completely empty! Just awful:(
I managed to get out, called the front desk and housekeeping brought me a bottle of shampoo... just a very unpleasant hotel stay:(
