This was an awesome experience! We found a ton of shells, and not just the regular ones that you can find anywhere, either. The weather can affect the tour times, so just make sure to call if you are heading that direction to make sure all is still a go. The captain and his "crew" were awesome and helpful. There is some damage yet from the storms so the shop is not open yet, and don't pay for parking as she will give you a parking pass. Also, this is first come, first served, you cant buy tickets ahead of time. If you are looking for a fun experience, I would recommend trying this!

Shell Key Shuttle was a great experience. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We arrived for the 10am shuttle. The boat was full so we had to wait for them to come back and get us. The nice gentleman who we paid gave us a little discount for having to wait.
They gave us shell bags. Allowed us to use beach umbrellas and snorkels. All included in the reasonable cost.
The captain of the boat was fun, friendly and knowledgeable. I like that we could leave at our chosen time.
Great experience. Worth the very reasonable price. I highly recommend. 🐚

Awesome!!!! The captain is fantastic!!! The island is breathtaking!! You feel as if you are the only ones there. There are tons of shells and sand dollars. They provide you with umbrellas, chairs, and bags to put all your shells in. Plus, a snorkeling set! The price is very, very fair for what you get. Military discount as well! Highly recommend!!!

Always wanted to take this tour and finally did. The boat and captain were great. Unfortunately, I didn't find many shells but did see some dolphins and enjoyed myself and would do it again.

We looked up the schedule, we arrived per the website times to go on the 2pm, but they weren’t running that time that day. Apparently you need to call early or even the day before to see what times they are really running not trust their website. I feel the website should state that. When in vacation and only in a place a few days you depend on posted schedules.

If you run into similar or want to save some money just walk a couple blocks from here over to the beach (St. Pete) and all the same shells are there all along the beach and you can just pickup handfuls of shells from right in the water too. There is also a fantastic beach bar/restaurant called Paradise Grill with the nicest staff, restrooms, lots of shady places to sit, delicious fresh fried shrimp, burgers, and daiquiris/drinks too. An awesome icecream shop with snow cones and iced coffee on the corner called Paradise Sweets and other restaurants also. We spent an entire day on that beach. Initially thought it was overpriced $25 pp for a 10 minute boat ride to the island, but it also came with free parking, a large bag for your shells, use of masks, snorkels, and beach umbrellas, sunscreen, and a shell identification paper.
We had a fabulous time, one of the best things we did on our trip, and so we felt like it was worth it on the end.
Parking pass is good for the whole day. Make sure to use the potty at the dock before you leave and bring snacks and drinks.
We used masks only and found 4 huge conch shells and a dozen sand dollars!

Shell key shuttle was great! Nice staff that answered our questions, stopped on the way back so we could watch some manatees, gave us shelling bags, let us use a beach umbrella for no extra cost, and was overall great. We didn't find many shells but we went at the later time. So go early! We had a great time!

Beautiful Island! Found some nice shells. Got to snap some photos of our feathered friends... Definitely a fun day ☺️ recommend the shuttle for sures ❤️
