On Friday, a beautiful friend extended a thoughtful gift that would have my husband and I walking around with a historical guide in downtown Huntsville, ducking into occasional shops for a lovely tea, coffee, or treat. We learned about the business origins and the historical significance of the buildings and area. We also saw areas that housed gatherings for civil rights, learned about ways they peacefully protested segregation at movie houses and beyond, and saw women suffrage meeting spaces with an incredible comemorative mural. The guide, Denice, was very knowledgeable, a joy to talk with, and I would highly recommend these tours for any age. I told my girls about it when I got home and they were a little envious that they weren't there. Im gonna have to sign up for another tour soon!!!

Whether you're just discovering the area or you're a seasoned local, this Huntsville food and history tour is definitely worth checking out! Denise brings warmth and a wealth of knowledge that makes the tour so enjoyable. I was amazed at how much I learned about my own city! The food stops were a delight, offering a taste of Huntsville's best, and the visits to local businesses felt like uncovering hidden treasures. Denise was our guide on a Huntsville historic tour of Old Town. She was waiting for us when we arrived and after introductions started the tour. We were a group of 7 and she could be easily heard by all of us throughout the tour. She was knowledgeable, friendly and interactive with all of us. We all learned a great deal about the area. I highly recommend Denise for any and all tours in the Huntsville area!

Downtown Huntsville came alive this morning when I attended the daytime food tour hosted by Scene That Tours! My friends and I were escorted along a walking food trail by STT owner Denise Swain, stopping at five local spots to enjoy a signature food item or drink. Denise has blended Huntsville's rich history with the best of the Huntsville food scene to bring a unique way to experience Huntsvilles history, food, and culture. Denise is a captivating storyteller. Whenever she stopped at a corner I had driven past so often, she'd tell a story that left me saying, "Wow! I'll never look at that the same way again!" Denise becomes an instant friend, and you'll want to take her home with you just to keep those stories coming! I can't wait to attend her seven other tours and hear more stories! I highly recommend gathering friends or family to take one of her tours; they're worth every penny for a one-of-a-kind, unforgettable experience.

If you're a foodie and want to explore the downtown Huntsville, the Daytime Food Tour is a must! The combination of a friendly guide, local food, and fascinating history made for an unforgettable experience. Ms Denise has a wealth of knowledge about Huntsville history, and was able to share the kind of stories that stay with you long after they're told.
I enjoyed the tour, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique experience, great flavors, and fun facts about the city.

As someone with dietary restrictions, I am extremely grateful for the stops along the tour that offered GF options like Piper and Leaf, Honest Coffee, & Moon Bakery.

Denise did a fantastic job and had a great knowledge of the city of Huntsville. My wife and I enjoyed the time we had visiting the restaurants, shops and pubs, with their delicious drinks and food. The conversations we had were also very interesting and informative; she was very enthusiastic about the city, the places we visited and the history. We would definitely do this kind of tour again. What a fun outing! My friends and I tried out the Daytime Food Tour that includes six casual food and drink stops in downtown Huntsville. The mix of food and drink/ sweet and savory was good, and we finished satisfied but not overfull and miserable. I loved how knowledgeable Denise is about Huntsville, and the stories she told along the walk, including some about women’s suffrage and the Civil Rights movement. (I would absolutely sign up for her other historical tours for more of this.) I’ve been on similar food tours in larger cities and I’m a big fan of them, but a couple of advantages to this small, local company is that the price is a little more affordable than some others (about $65 versus the 90-110 I’ve paid in larger cities for a pretty similar experience) and you get the intimacy of a small group. When I booked, I assumed we’d be with a few strangers, but it turned out to be just Denise, my two friends and me. Note that start times may not be listed on the website, but Denise will be in touch shortly to work out a mutually convenient schedule for the day you picked. Take this tour if you’re new to the area or if you’ve been around forever but haven’t spent much time downtown. You’ll enjoy hanging out with Denise.

This Food Tour in Huntsville Alabama is a must do! We are still discussing the interesting intricate information Denise provided. This perspective left me wanting more information about this community. This tour did not provided: 1. An exhausting physical challenge 2. A lack of local talent. 3. Lack of community support.
This is by far one of the most informative tours we’ve been on. We would not hesitate to come back. We highly recommend this tour!
