A beautiful place to just walk around and take in the gardens, or a great place to meet friends and family for a coffee etc, there are sports fields for football and a great play park for the kids.
If your interested in photography then your in for a treat, Kingfishers, otters and many other birds are regularly seen in the water of leith that runs through the area.

One of my favourite gardens in Edinburgh, it’s enjoyable to walk around or inside the park. The garden has a collection of different kind of flowers, either wild flowers and blossoms planted by gardeners from spring to summer. The garden is not huge but enough size to be awesome.
Apart of that, the park has a coffee shop, playground area for kids, area for skaters and bikes, basketball and football fields and beautiful interior gardens with fish tank included.
Everything in one place, what else you can ask for.

Absolutely lovely park, incredibly clean and well kept. There are free public toilets, a nice coffee shop and plenty of small walks. The play area is really good, even our 10 month old crawling son could enjoy it - there’s baby swings, a sandpit, an area for toddlers, slightly older kids then heading more towards teens. It really is an amazing free space, Scotland does such a good job of parks compared to England.

I've reviewed this before. It's a great place and very accessible. rose garden, walled garden, medicinal garden, garden bistro with inside and outside bookable tables, play park, skateboard park , playing fields accessible toilet, all level access, helpful and friendly staff. One thing I personally distinctly do not appreciate is the loud music they play inside the garden bistro. This morning (7 Sept 2021) I went for breakfast and coffee and sat outside but the doors were open and the music very loud. I come to the park because its quiet, so don't understand the need for canned music, but I know most people probably like it.

Great place for a mid dog walk coffee destination . The cafe is much improved from the previous "hoping to be upmarket facility". The cafe now serves what local customers want at reasonable prices.👍👍👍

One of my favourite places due to the location - central to the City. Great place for a walk and talk. You can get coffee here, toilets are also present. Pleasant atmosphere, relaxing surroundings.
