I have ridden with Theresa for just over four years now and I can attribute my success and my horses well being with her impeccable training and facility. Not only have we been able to compete at a high level successfully, but our horses are happy, fit, and well looked after. Theresa is knowledgeable in all aspects of the training process as well as high level competitions due to her extensive experience with top trainers, farriers, and vets. I couldn’t recommend Theresa any more highly to someone looking to grow as a horseman, rider, and competitor.

Theresa is amazing. Originally based in Orange County for 20 years, she has applied her knowledge of the top of the sport to our daily training. We have been so lucky to learn from her for the past 4 years. Our horses have never been happier than they are with her. It is so comforting to know our horses get meticulously cared for daily. With a top of the line facility in addition to individualized training, we never have to question that we are prepared for what we or our horses might see in the competition setting.

I’m a life-long equestrian and adult amateur horse show competitor. I transitioned to Theresa and Sage Ridge when I relocated to Paso Robles from the Bay Area in early 2022. It’s been a great experience for me and my horse, Ove. Theresa has been there when it has mattered most; I feel fortunate to have had her expertise to rely on.

Theresa provides exceptional care to the horses in her barn (eg, supplements, special feeds, vaccines, regular farrier visits). She’s also a great trainer and rider / horsewoman. Whether it’s day-to-day lessons at home, or beside you at the in-gate of a major horse show, Theresa is there for her clients and their horses. She’s an excellent rider and typically rides her clients’ horses regularly. With what she learns from her rides, she can often help the student provide better signals or aids to their mounts, getting better results.

Finally, the barn and facilities, just a few miles from downtown SLO, are a ‘must-see’, if only for the stunning view from the well-appointed gathering room deck in the center of the main barn. Majestic Central Coast peaks and ranch vistas, just breathtaking! The HUGE main ring immediately below you shows a similar attention to detail, including the latest technical footing with below-surface watering — no wasteful (and ugly) sprinklers here!

The main barn was recently-constructed with the latest generation of the ‘basics’ (ie, mess stall door panels for ventilation, spinning feeding tubs, padding stall floors, rubberized paver main aisle, well designed wash stalls). After a visit, you’ll understand why I say ‘I should live as well as my horse!’ 😆
