Want to stay at a rat & bug infested motel with no housekeeping? They say they do, but I promise you they don't. Don't clean your own room? Over $200 cleaning fee! A previous tenant breaks something & you report it? Your fault/another fee! Clean bathroom? Doesn't exist! Clean room? What's that?! Do NOT stay here! You'd be better off staying on the streets for the time.

I woke up to find a rat in my room. 🐀 I requested a new room, but the hotel informed me that they were fully booked. I then asked for a refund, and the receptionist agreed but said I needed to contact booking.com.

After reaching out to them, I initially believed I had received a refund. However, a few weeks later, I checked my account and realized I had not received anything. When I contacted booking.com again, I was put on hold while they spoke with the hotel. To my surprise, I was told that the Royal Inn claimed this incident never happened and that I had checked out on time, which is definitely not true—I checked out four days earlier than my scheduled departure.

This experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I believe those are terrible people. I am considering legal action to ensure that others do not have to go through this. 🐀

Bug infested and got bit every night and when I told the owner the tv was broken I got blamed they say there's housekeeping but there isn't. If there was housekeeping there wouldn't be bugs.
TV broken ,fridge stunk, door is bent bathroom fan don't work and there's no heat in the bathroom

AWFUL! My wife, 2 daughters and myself went to a family graduation party in NH. We arrived at the hotel around midnight and were greeted by a grumpy clerk. We proceed to pay for our room and quickly slipped out to get our belongings put away and get some rest. We started unpacking and we're called back to the office where another disturbed man had joined the original clerk and demanded we pay an extra 80 dollars for the stay. He said we needed to pay 80 extra cause our 2 kids weren't on the reservation (which they 100% were) when we told him we booked a room with 2 beds cause our 2 daughters were sharing a bed and my wife and I were sleeping in the other, they responded with, the 80 dollars was a smokers fee.... i replied with, i thought it was for the kids? He then said 2 kids plus smoking... we aren't smokers so I told him I'm not paying 80 dollars for my 2 children that were on the reservation and I'm definitely not paying 80 dollars for a smoking fee when WE DONT SMOKE!! Anyways, We slept the night there on the most uncomfortable beds (felt like cardboard boxes under the DIRTY sheets) and the smell of the room was horrendous!! Fast forward to next morning. I woke up earlier than the girls so I went to the nearest McDonald's to go get coffee and a sandwich for the girls cause they offer NOTHING!! While I was gone I got a phonecall from my wife telling me to hurry back that they were woken up to them banging on our door and trying to enter at 9am wanting us to check out. (we couldn't wait to get the heck outta that nightmare anyway) After a long 6.5 hour drive with hardly any sleep due to the smell and uncomfortable beds, We arrived home and were surprised to find they charged us over 240 dollars for the 1 night stay. We left the room spotless and even made the bed in the morning (finding multiple bugs in the room and in the bed) GROSS!! Not only did we get charged 140 dollars extra for the stay, we were out another 25 dollars cause we had to go to the nearest laundromat and wash all our belongings so we wouldn't bring their bugs home with us. The owner couldn't pay me to sleep in that place again. I highly recommend finding somewhere else to stay or sleep in my vehicle before giving this place business again. *YOU'VE BEEN WARNED*

I had a mouse running around my room. And owners seem so jaded from other bad guests they assume all are bad and accuse people who are innocent of things like smoking inside when they weren't. And because I cooked good smelling food in their microwave got accused of having some other kind of cooking device. It did provide warm safe place to stay until I got myself on my feet as a traveling nurse. However; it is not worth what they charge for a room. Needs a major remodeling. My room also didn't come with a shower curtain. I had to use my own. It has potential though not somewhere I'd pay for.

Without doubt, one of the poorest-equipped hovels we've ever stayed at. |The majority of hotels in the vicinity seemed a little pricey, unlike this one, so we thought wed give it a try.|1) The rooms are tiny.|2) The floor is uneven and severely slopes towards the bathroom.|3) The bed is higher at the foot than the head by 8 inches!|4) The walls are painted dark blue, absorbing all light and giving the feel of a jail cell.|5) There is a complete lack of lighting except for the miserable dirty shade lights alongside the bed.|What a total disgrace. The owners/management should be ashamed to invite guests to stay in this rathole.

This place is terrible.
1. Rock hard beds. I really considered sleeping on the floor instead.. it was softer... The pillows weren't much better
2. Under construction with tarps on the roof flapping in the wind all night
3. No light switch in the room- had to fumble through the dark room to find a switch on a lamp on the opposite side.
4. Construction workers showed up at 7:30 on Sunday morning climbing on our roof and making tons of noise
5. The thermostat in the room is locked in a cage so you have no control

I have traveled for over 50 years and never, ever have I been on the "denied guest list" or recieved a negative review. I travel for work and have excellent reviews on Airbnb, VRBO, Harvest Hosts, and all hotel venues.
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. I told them (after key in hand) that I have a service dog. They proceeded to ask for paperwork violating the ADA and told me no pets were allowed. I educated the staff politely on ADA law. My dog is extremely well behaved and went to work with me every day. I left the hotel clean as always and when I attempted to rebook through Travelocity, I was informed I was on the "denied guest list" at this hotel.
As far as the hotel - good location, that's about it but there are not many options in Claremont, that is why I tried to rebook.
The room smelled, bed was hard, no coffee maker, no coffee in the office, no cups for water, only two towels with no housekeeping during my stay. The manager was extremely rude when I called and asked what was the issue and never provided an answer, in fact he denied speaking to Travelocity so I attempted to rebook, and was informed by an agent at Travelocity they spoke directly to the owner/manager TWICE which he denied...liar!
