Had a great experience renting from Road Bear RV! The entire team was friendly and helpful, but a special shoutout to Victor—he really took the time to walk me through every system on the RV and made sure I felt confident before hitting the road.

The staff overall were reliable and reasonable with a few special requests I had, which I really appreciated. While pickup is typically scheduled for the afternoon, they were able to accommodate an early morning pickup.

Best RV rental in town. We move up from Cruise America, to El Monte RV now to Road Bear (all the same company) and really enjoyed the additional comfort and luxury of Road Bear.

We traveled for 3 weeks with our 3 kids in an RV from this company and everything went more or less well. The vehicle was great! Spacious and easy to drive. However, after 10 days, the cabin batteries were dead... Even though the vehicle was almost new. It took us more than a day to change the batteries and even go back to a garage the next day because it still didn't work. Nice with 3 kids to manage... Obviously, the fridge didn't work and we had to operate on a generator (at $3 an hour).
We were finally able to leave. 3 days before returning the vehicle, we were hit on the cabin door by another vehicle in a national park. Nothing serious and we were able to continue our journey without going to a garage. When we went to return our vehicle, we obviously reported the damage. To our surprise, after a mini inspection of 3 minutes and 2 photos, we were told that the door needed to be completely replaced... and that we had to pay $1000 (!!) for a new door! Totally exaggerated in our eyes!
We then went back to the problem of the batteries and the lost time spent repairing them. Smiling, the lady at the counter told us that she couldn’t pay us for the time lost... What a lack of professionalism.
I then told her that she could at least remove the $45 bill she had just handed us for the use of the generator since it was used solely to save the food in our fridge. After a few hesitations, she finally agreed. The least she could do, really! We wouldn’t even have had to ask in our opinion. But anyway. On the side, a couple at the counter just next to us also seemed to be struggling with their vehicle's batteries, and the tone was not light as we heard them complaining...
3 stars for the vehicle, no problem, for the service... we’ll check out the competition next time for sure!

Fantastic trip around a beautiful state that could not have been experienced in such a way with out Road Bear. Brand new quality RV, exactly what you hope for is what you get. Grace, at the front desk, helped educate us on our first RV experience and get us confidently ready to start our journey. Easy to plan and always available to help with questions or concerns on your trip. Road Bear was a great experience and I highly recommend them.

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Road Bear! From the moment we booked our RV to the moment we returned it, everything was seamless. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, answering all of our questions and ensuring we were well-prepared for our trip. The RV itself was spotless, well-maintained, and fully equipped with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable journey to Burning Man!

Driving the RV was a breeze, and we loved how spacious and comfortable it was. It made our trip unforgettable! We truly felt taken care of every step of the way especially after we had a punctured tire on the highway. We’ll definitely be renting from them again for our next adventure!

Roadbear were unethical and disgraceful! They seem good at first but will absolutely over charge on fabricated cleaning fees when you return the vehicle. We spent an entire day cleaning the vehicle after we rented it and they still charged us $700 for cleaning because they found some dust in the kitchen sink?! They told us that we are lucky because others were charged $1800. We’ve been going to Burning Man for 5 years with other companies and always returned the RV in this condition after a full day of cleaning and have NEVER been charged a cleaning fee (not a single dollar). We also had a faulty lock that broke and we had to pay for our of our own pockets despite the paperwork saying they’d fix and faulty items. I’ve had no problems with Cruise America previously - try them. Avoid Roadbear. Ganeshka at the San Leandro branch was particularly unhelpful. I’ve included photos of our clean RV for reference.
