I visited Whiskey Row in Nashville and witnessed a very biased enforcement of the dress code. Two of my friends were not allowed in because they wore timberlands. I understand that is against dress code, but there were multiple men who had made it inside wearing sandals, which are also in violation of the dress code. I had been allowed entry previously. After I brought up the disparity in enforcement, I tried to go back in to tell my friends that I was leaving.

The bouncer barred me from going back in because I was “causing problems” by disagreeing with him. He also refused to acknowledge that people were allowed in wearing sandals and ripped clothing, even though it is forbidden on their website. He threatened to call the police even though I posed no threat to him or the patrons.

This is very unbecoming of a professional establishment; either you need to do away with the dress code or adhere to it. And entry should not be barred because someone doesn’t agree with the management/bouncer’s view! I’d love to talk to someone to ameliorate the situation

RE: East Valley Tribune May 17, 2017. 'Marine Vet Barred from Restaurant Because of Neck Tattoo'
Refusing service to a Iraq veteran (or anybody for that matter) because of a neck tattoo is unacceptable. Spokeswoman Robyn Moore stated the policy was recommended by police but does not specify which department. That is profiling, plain and simple.
If you support our veterans, don't patronize any of Riot Hospitality Group's establishment until the policy is changed with a full apology to Brandon Andrus.

Hello.. I had a disappointing experience which im familiar with given the color of my skin.. I feel that if you are going to have a specific dress code you should post it for everyone to see.. It says resort casual. But thats obviously pretty vague. I was forced to change SHOES then told my other shoes were not acceptable for the night.. I watched as other African Americans were refused entry based apon style of clothing. But must i add nothing that was offensive or a major concern to the public.. You all should really address the issues. The party i was with was able to enter without me even after i changed my footware. That speaks volumes.

In my experience, Riot Hospitality has been negligent and apathetic with their service.

As a student club president at Arizona State University, it was extremely frustrating having to work with Riot. Our club was owed $400 for sponsorship fees through ASU policy, and Riot Hospitality ignored us for 8 weeks of calls and emails (about 14 calls, and 6 emails). It was only when we threatened to revoke their eligibility to table on campus and to write negative reviews on their business that they decided to make payments. It took from August 20-November 20 to get paid.

After finally agreeing to pay, management at Riot Hospitality was unapologetic and seemingly insincere. It was upsetting that this was the case, especially since we could not use any of the funds this semester and were limited in our club abilities.
