This place is amazing. Clean , cozy , fully equipped cabins, and so cute! Tara and staff are so accommodating. Lovely animals to interact with and lots of things to do in the surrounding area. Cannot recommend it enough. They are super dog friendly as well, even providing dog bowls and towels in the cabins.

Comfortable cabin and Tara was very accommodating even though I made a mistake and unpacked at the wrong cabin. Great hosts and places to hike! Scout the local LGD enjoyed hanging with our Golden also named Scout! Nice hot shower and the farm fresh eggs were amazing.

Great place,we originally reserved a small cabin,with a bed and couch,small kitchen,very nice clean place. They have done other animals like, donkey,miniature horses, llamas, ducks, chickens, etc.Our dogs loved to see these animals. But due to my on going neck problems I cannot sleep in a bed. I take a portable footstool and usually sleep in a chair, but the couch at this place was very low, very uncomfortable and the people were nice enough to upgrade us to a real nice cabin for a cheaper price. Great service. Will be back,plus they helped out in a emergency 👍👍

We absolutely loved our stay in the Deer Run cabin. The accommodations were wonderful and we even got to go hiking with Scout, the owners guardian livestock dog. Thank you so much for making such a welcoming location for us to come enjoy!

Our family had a great stay in the Dog House. The cabin was clean, well furnished and had more supplies than what we expected. We loved the animals on the property and the fresh eggs the chickens provided were a nice little extra.
It can be very hard to find lodging for four legged family members. My past experience with hotels and so called resorts have been disappointing. Not only did Rim Rocks Dogwood cabins welcome our dog, we did not need to pay an additional fee or deposit for her.
The absolute best part for us was location. We were so close to all the great spots on my itinerary. We could have walked to one of the hiking trails on the list, and if we packed for swimming we could have done that, as well.
This has been one of my favorite trips in recent years, and with so much to offer in the Shawnee National Park it will absolutely be a place I'll keep coming back to.

I had reserved a cabin for two nights. On the day of my first night, my mother passed away. I attempted to cancel or change my dates, but Rim Rock's would not allow me to do so. I understand and respect that they are running a business, but life and family are more important. I would not recommend this establishment for ethical reasons.

5 star for the location. Fresh eggs. Free firewood. Beautiful property. Walk to Rim Rock Rec area. Close to Garden of the Gods. The Shawnee area is unmatched in ILL.

I have absolutely fallen in love with rim rocks Dogwood cabins the staff were incredibly helpful as well as very friendly. the dog house cabin that I was in was without a doubt the most adorable charming cabin I have ever rented and I prefer finding unique little cabins versus hotels and these guys have got it all happening It’s wonderful. Aside from the property being beautiful and a unique experience with all of their animals the cabin was filled with amenities that made Rimrock Dogwood cabins Unique and stand out from the rest the fresh eggs available in my cabin were all devoured and enjoyed. the cabin had DVDs games cards puzzles they had a little gift tree that you can buy items that were hanging on it. They also provided a little container with extra dog poop bags just in case you needed it. they also had firewood right out by the fire pit. Something else that I was incredibly impressed with is all of the hiking trails that they had on their property our first day when we got there we went on the blue trail it was kind of the perimeter of their property I would highly recommend it it took my boys and I about 45 minutes Because they have to stop and sniff and pee. Would impress me most with the trails is the Signage they had on the trail many state parks that I’ve gone to don’t even have signage close to what Rimrock Cabins has done. The price also can’t be beat I was paying just about the same that I would end up paying at a hotel For just a basic room. Im at a new location tonight called smokehouse Lodge and cabins in Monteagle Tennessee I’m paying $316 for just tonight and the cabin doesn’t even have something as simple as a roll of paper towels in the kitchen. in addition the cabin is disgustingly filthy I would never recommend anybody staying at these cabins. so book a cabin over at Rimrock Dogwood cabins and you will be tickled pink and thrilled with everything that they offer for you there. Ive already booked my return trip from Florida back to Northern Illinois next time we’re gonna be there for five nights instead of just the two nights.
