I was apprehensive about taking the boat ride, but I’m glad I did. I saw a lot of really interesting historical buildings and learned a great deal from the captain about the harbor. We visited the naval yard, as well as beautiful homes and bridges. It was truly awesome.

If you have the opportunity to do a two-hour ride, it's definitely worth it!

Were helpful and understanding when I accidentally booked the wrong day. Very informative, in-depth history of Portsmouth and immediate surroundings. Also a pleasant way to spend an hour of your day, a smooth ride. Also affordable compared to other boat tours I've taken

Great way to see other parts of Portsmouth and the harbor while also enjoying that nice fresh air and new scenery.

With our limited time at Portsmouth, I appreciated that the tour is more or less only an hour or two long but covers a lot of things. Unfortunately we were seated at the back close to where the engine is so it was loud and I couldnt hear the much of the overhead narration. At the beginning the ride was nice and smooth but the farther along we cruised the swells became more apparent and bigger. An experience but could be a little scary lol Glad we didnt bring our baby stroller and opted to just use the carrier.

we saw the old prison, lighthouses, forts and overall just a nice view of New Hampshire. I actually enjoyed it - an activity to chill and relax. They have food and drinks for sale on
board and there is a restroom too. Only bummer for me here is that there is no close parking. We had to walk from the garage but although it was doable, it does not help when youre in a rush and running late. Glad we made it though and arrived 5 mins before planned departure lol and oh, reservations highly recommended. I kept checking online so I could by a little last minute since we werent sure we could make it and Im glad i brought tickets on time coz they sold out eventually.

We took our family on a tour of Portsmouth Harbor today with Portsmouth Harbor Cruises. First class operation 100%! Our narrated tour by our very capable and knowledgeable captain covered many historical events and places. The day was beautiful and the tour which ran an hour and fifteen minutes was perfect for the little ones. This is one you don’t want to miss!

We loved every minute of this harbor cruise. At 1h15, it's the perfect little taste of being out in the ocean. The staff was very welcoming. Our captain was great and provided a very interesting guided tour.

They offer a nice assortment of snacks and drinks aboard at very reasonable prices.

A wonderful way to spend a sunny afternoon. 🌊

Fun, family outing. Just long enough to see the harbor and learn some of the history of the area. Nice size vessel that gave you that personal experience, but also a smooth ride. Very cool to see (and hear about) the old Portsmouth Naval Prison.

We went on the Wood Island cruise this past weekend, the Captain and first mate were wonderful. nice ride both ways got a good hour on the island to explore the amazing restoration. As someone that grew up in Kittery and going to Ft Foster on many of summer days, it was really cool to go over and see the island. Would highly recommend.

The website was informative and easy to navigate. I was able to easily pick a cruise and purchase tickets. The experience was enjoyable. Four stars instead of 5 because the experience was just a bit more utilitarian, and there was room for improvement. The boat was a bit too crowded, which made it somewhat hard to maneuver around the boat and see the views. The music was too loud and definitely not to everyone's taste. One bathroom or head as they called it was out of service, leaving one for the larger number of people on the boat. The view was great. The captain's narrative added to the tour. The boat and the area where you wait did really add to the "sea going" feel. The benches in the waiting area could use some attention as they looked like splinters could be forthcoming. An hour was a good length for the experience. That being said, when we got back, I was envious of the folks waiting to go on the sunset cruise. Definitely want to take that one, perhaps for a date night before dinner in downtown Portsmouth.
