I had the incredible privilege of attending "Man of La Mancha" at the Peterborough Players, and it was an unforgettable experience. The production was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking set designs, atmospheric lighting and powerful performances that brought the story to life in such a moving way.

Scott Bakula's portrayal of Miguel de Cervantes was both passionate and inspiring—truly a highlight of the evening. The intimate setting of the theater added to the magic, making us feel like we were part of the story. The entire cast delivered their roles with such passion and talent and the orchestra played each musical piece with heartfelt emotion.

I highly recommend this show to anyone looking for an extraordinary theater experience!

Afterwards I even got to meet Scott Bakula, who I know from TV Shows like Quantum Leap and Star Trek Enterprise for many decades already. We had a little chat and took some photos together.

It was an evening I will cherish forever!

The production quality for PP's shows is exceptional, so this review isn't a reflection of that. It's more a constructive criticism of the facility. For one thing, there's no easy way for patrons sitting in lower-numbered seats to get to the exit into the lobby readily. What if someone felt unwell and needed to leave? They would have to fumble in the dark all the way to the front, crossing right in front of the stage, and then around just to get to the lobby. Climbing over 12+ people across the row isn't a practical option, either. Perhaps the expectation in that instance would be to exit the side door and go outside? Seems silly. Wouldn't it be far safer and more comfortable for patrons simply to knock out one row of seats in the center of the barn to allow for easier, more efficient departure? Raise ticket prices a few bucks a piece to compensate for the loss of the seats? The bathroom facilities are also inadequate for crowds this size. All that being said, the building is beautiful and charming, the productions are meticulously and remarkably well done, and the staff are kindly. Overall, it's a good experience. P.S.- I remember in the pre-pandemic days they'd do a 50-50 raffle. Why did they stop? That seems like a clever, low-budget way to raise more funds.
