We really liked this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. All the employees were very nice and welcoming. The elevator buttons and area looked like they needed a good wiping down. Be aware that the connecting walkways although listed as heated were ice cold. Wear a coat. It was nice though to get the our show at the Peoria Civic Center without having to walk outside.||Our one and only complaint was the Table19 restaurant that we decided to eat at before our show. Whatever you do don't order the French Dip sandwich as you will be very disappointed.

What a lovely time I had! 80-yr-old limited mobility fat lady treated like da Queen. They have a wheelchair if you need it. I was able to navigate all the DOWN stairs to UP elevators and all the wide lobbies, but if you can’t, sweet people will help you! The parking garage is shared with the Civic Center and is connected to the hotel by a second floor walkway. On event nights, Friday and Saturday in my case, there is no close parking on the second floor near the door to the walkway. However, all you need do is drive up and up in the garage until you find the elevator, park near it, take it down to the second floor and enter the walkway. It’s about a 100-foot walk to the hotel, another 40 feet to the hotel elevator (2 flights of steep, carpeted stairs if the elevator is out of order) and a rather winding but beautiful lobby trip of a couple hundred feet. To the mobile this means nothing, but to us old, arthritic fogeys, it’s important! This place is do-able and utterly lovely. The vintage brass mailbox, mail chutes, elevators, etc., make this historic hotel a treasure.||There is one sour note in this opulent opera: the night clerk is a woman who wears large rings (she won’t after reading this!) and she has no place in customer service. She is unhelpful, dour, unfriendly, and inept. She can’t DO anything and clearly does not intend to learn, asking Aaron (?) how to do everything, which she then performs reluctantly. She needs to go back in her dungeon. She is a blight on the sunny landscape of this wonderful hotel.||There is no bell service at all, but when you pull up in front of the hotel on Main Street, there is a white line area to park in that the police do not bother. I called and the desk clerk came and got my bags before I parked in the parking garage ($15 per day). There was no answer at the front desk all of one weekend night, I presume because they were unable to staff it. However, the hotel is SPOTLESS and quiet, the buffet breakfast (custom omelettes, various meats, pastries, endless fruit options including blackberries some mornings, etc. YOU NAME IT!) and Concierge Lounge breakfast are FABULOUS. LOVELY attendants in in the 11th floor rewards level lounge is canapés and snacks. Dessert is served at 8 pm. The attendant is Gloria in the evening, a beautiful, gracious, and wise young hostess. I didn’t get the name of the delightful young man in the morning, but he is a treasure who trained Gloria!||The bedding in the rooms is perfect - no Princess and the Pea too-tall beds - and the climate control works. Handicapped access rooms have roll-in showers, shower seats. Housekeeping is immediately responsive to requests, and the maintenance man, Big Ben, came for my bag, gave me his sturdy arm, and walked me to my car!

This hotel is one of the best I’ve stayed at in Peoria so far!! I loved everything about the hotel! I want to personally thank Holly for having outstanding customer service at the front desk!! She was very accommodating and made me feel very welcomed! So thank you so much Holly! She even signed me up for the rewards program which I really appreciated her doing!
The Lobby is beautiful. The hotel is clean and quiet! Our stay was just luxurious! The pool area was clean. And more importantly EMPTY!
A few things to note before booking here would be: There is a 15-20 dollar charge for parking so if you have multiple vehicles be aware of that..
the only downside I can think of is the fact that the rooms did not have microwaves in them. A minor inconvenience on our end but could be huge for someone who doesn’t want to leave their rooms, and go downstairs to heat up their food in the lobby .
Another thing would be the TV. Our first night here we saw that the television didn’t work… when we brought it up to Jared, the desk clerk, he informed us that the TVs did work but some channels were unavailable and you had to seek past channel 24. They were working to fix it so no worries. Hopefully they’ll have it fixed before my next stay.
The rooms were big and up to date. The beds did not have any wear on them and were soft and comfy. No bugs!! Water pressure is beautiful. Heat does work and so does the air. We were placed right off the elevators so that’s good. Even the housekeeping and restaurant staff went out their way to greet us and make sure we were taken care of. So thank you all! This hotel has outstanding customer service and employees who treat their guests like royalty! Everyone I encountered here was very polite and that is what really makes this hotel stand out from the rest. I knew I had to come and write and review and give the place its props! The staff went above and beyond! Truly!

The room 1001 had an awful strong smell in it, and the bathtub would not drain. Staff was quick to allow us to move to 1801, which of course, you could hear the elevator going up and down constantly. Extremely disappointing stay - no guest should be booked in either of these rooms.

Hotel service level is below average. Rooms are not cleaned, broken refrigerators, name on TV welcome recording is not yours, etc. Beware - even if you don’t drive they will charge you self park fee and you need to argue that you did not have a car.

If you stay there make sure you check your banking account. I paid for my trip several months ago and I noticed they charged my credit card for an extra night. I have provided them with the information showing this and they just keep giving me the runaround that they need more information before they will give my money back. Extremely unhappy and frustrated.

We always stay at Marriotts. We stayed here for a wedding that was in Peoria. The hotel does not live up to its pictures.. Our air conditioning on our room did not work. It was 76 degrees at all times. The bathroom was tiny and outdated. Our bedding had stains on them. There were men begging guests for money outside the main entrance. The positives were the bar was nice and the parking was easy. Definitely not worth the price. Will not be back.

Stayed at this property this past Saturday night. Lobby bar service was terrible. Under staffed by management. Waited 30 mins for 2 glasses of wine. They then charged me $40 for those 2 glasses of sauvignon blanc, which tasted more in the chardonnay class. The rooms are nice and appeared clean. The property itself has a great classic vibe. But the overpay and horrible service at the lobby bar ruined the early part of evening for me and my wife.
