This place is such a gem. The bartender, Kat was such a pleasure and the ambiance was perfectly balanced. We buried my godfather today. It was such a beautiful service, burial & reception afterwards.

Nat and I began our 22-hour drive back to Florida. A few hours into it. We realized we were hungry and just needed a break. Drained from the emotional roller coaster today and overall just unwind. Pulled off at a random exit not knowing what was here. As we drove up the road. Looking for something to eat. We came across this place and immediately decided why not. We went in and immediately felt like Paul. Good food and atmosphere. Amazing service. It's a definite must see if you're in the area. We played music on the jukebox Tribune to My godfather played a few slot machines and Nat one a little bit of money.

Was a nice place to go for food & just have a great experience. Been going for many years now & never any issues until TODAY! Tried going today for LUNCH only, nothing else. I do not drink & I do not gamble. Employees on duty took forever to let us in. Got in & seated ourselves. Nobody said a word or greeted us. Minutes went by & still no acknowledgement. Decided to move too the bar area. Quickly got acknowledged but was then quickly denied our business. She immediately came off rude & asked for identification because in her words “I don’t know you”. There’s slots around.. Didn’t care about anything else. Was never told her name. We’ve NEVER EVER been asked for identification, whether we was together, out with family or friends etc. Wasn’t until leaving, taking business elsewhere for lunch & returning back home… that we decided to call & ask to speak too a manager or the owner. Again she was rude & still didn’t care she turned away loyal customers & business! Acted like she couldn’t provide information regarding a manager or an owner. She finally provided her name, if she was even honest about that. Jocelyn or however she spells it, needs to be addressed on how to properly address customers. Her attitude & disrespect was far from professional, as well as her attire overall. My business will be taken elsewhere going forward & I will make sure to let many know what type of people are working there! I’ll no longer recommend this place to anyone. And I’ll also be hard pressed to ever step foot in that establishment ever again!!! Was a major disappointment & obviously a major mistake deciding to choose this business for lunch over another business we had in mind…

Food is always great! We enjoy coming here. Good people and never any problems. Jocelyn is a great bartender and takes care of everyone. Highly recommended!!

My fiancé and I were traveling from NJ back FL after a funeral and This place was a sight for sore eyes. We thought it was closed but you have to ring the doorbell to get in. We were greeted by Kat and was told to sit anywhere- we chose the bar.
We had good conversation and the food was great. I had the veggie flatbread and Brussels sprouts. My fiancé had the steak, zucchini fries and coleslaw. We travel a lot and have been to a lot of small town bars and sometimes the locals are weary of visitors-this place was so warm and welcoming on this 40° night.
They also have slot machines and to honor our dear uncle,the wallstreet legend, who enjoyed a good bit of gambling, we played for a while and I won two grand wins on the Elvis machine while we played his favorite Billy Joel songs on the jukebox.
We were welcomed, were fed and we left with our hearts full. Kat was a delight to chat with and we’re so grateful for her hospitality.

I love this place....what the heck happened tonight. Walked in the door at 5:55pm ordered two beers, told wait staff we were there for crab legs special...order was in by 6:15pm. We waited and waited and beer was now empty...no one came by to check on us (by the way we were sitting directly at the bar)...round about 640 we are thinking we saw our platters of crab legs sitting on the stainless kitchen pick up station..sure enough...wait staff in and out of the kitchen like 25 times...no one grabbed our food. Finally at 7pm we walked up to the bar and asked for our check for the beers pointed to our platters that had been repeatedly ignored. All the waitress said was "sorry we got really busy" we can make you another order...by the way...the parking lot was empty when we ordered...lest i say we passed on the next 40 minute wait...just wow!!!!!

I love the palace. This is my local watering hole and this is the medium steak I ordered- which was flavorful; with a side of the best roasted brussels sprouts in Martinsburg. I love it when they do prime rib on Fridays (when available). I feel like I can arrive at the bar and be comfortably served my favorite drink by Tiff, Amanda, KK, and Eileen. Always with a smile. My favorite is when I come in on Friday mornings and have adult coffee made by Tiff and a cheese omelet made by “dough boy”. Every so often KK makes sausage gravy. Ever feel like you had a rough day and need a beer? Walk-in, ask for a beer and relax with the juke box. This place tickles all your fancies within the Martinsburg budget. Highly recommend.

Food is great, had a new waitress, her first night, she was wonderful, the chef came out to see how we liked our dinner, very nice of him. I hate giving good reviews, the secret gets out and then it's chaos trying to get a table!!! Good job Palace Lounge!!
