Great experience, and a great way to learn & see all the monumental & historical parts/areas of Washington D.C.!

Make sure you get to your area early (where you have to be to start the tour), and make sure to have all your devices charged!

We did the Monuments by Moonlight Tour, which was great because we experienced a bit of the day and a bit of the night!

Some of the stops are bigger and have a lot more to see, so make sure to trip plan so you can make it back to the bus on time!

Lastly, if you do this particular tour, either eat a great meal early before the tour starts, or make sure you make reservations accordingly, because we had to stop our tour early and get an Uber to get to our reservation on time!

We had a great time. Our tour guide, Smiley was a fountain of knowledge, humor and great company. We learnt a great deal of history ( and more) during our trip.

We did the Monuments by moonlight tour in December 2024. Jace was our tour guide and he was fantastic! He was so knowledgeable about not just the monuments we visited but all the buildings in between. It was just shy of 3 hours long and Jace was feeding us information and little stories the whole time. We did a 5 min stop at the front of The Capitol. A 20 mins stop at Martin Luther King Jr and FDR. A 25 min stop at Vietnam, Korea and Lincoln. Then a 10 min stop at the Marine Memorial. A great experience and a fantastic way to spend our first night in DC. Jace was the best tour guide I’ve ever had. Get a seat on the right of the Trolley if you can but rug up incase they need to open the Trolley up.

The tour was good but the driver made the experience so much less enjoyable. He said very racist and inconsiderate/inappropriate comments like "is there a language barrier"& "and we're passing the Latino building you guys should know a lot about that" knowing that we come from a small school in Texas. The speaker was so loud the back of the bus was vibrating & our ears hurt, to the point where even our chaperones and teachers were getting migrants. After being repeatedly asked to turn it down he said quote"you guys told me to turn it down but that's not an excuse". Then he yelled at us through the speaker to be quiet even though we have video evidence that we were silent in the bus when he said so. And when the trolley ride was over, we still tipped him. One of our chaperones had given in the money and said that it was awkward that she was putting it in a hat and he thought she was talking about his narration skills and almost fully cussed her out. We thought we were in the wrong until our very own chaperones said that he was indeed being a jerk. Mike in bus 599, thank you for allowing us to view The monuments during our trip but we will requesting that we don't have you next year.

The Old Town Trolley Tour in Washington, DC, is a fantastic experience, particularly with Byron as a guide. His humorous and informative commentary enhances the tour, making it both entertaining and educational.

The moonlight tour covers numerous sights, transitioning from sunset into nighttime, which provides a unique and beautiful perspective of the city. This tour is highly recommended and well worth the money for the comprehensive and enjoyable experience it offers.

Our party of five absolutely loved this tour company!!

Being able to jump on and off was so convenient. There is no way we could have seen as much as we did in one day driving around and looking for parking!

The tour guides were all very knowledgeable! Our favorite tour guide was Kyrie! He was hilarious!

Monuments at night was awesome. I highly recommend it. While you're at it, add the Arlington tour doing the day you will not be disappointed. Now, this is your warning. Be careful when you buy online. I accidentally added a day tour for the day I wasn't there, and it cost me $133.00. There is no way to get a refund.Thats why I could only give them a 4 star rating.

A nice enjoyable way to spend an evening in DC.

While a little pricey for 5 people ($70/each), I am very glad to have had the tour. Got to enjoy so much more of the city. Our driver "Mdot" was a touch punny and jokes were were nearing level British dry. My kids groaned but I laughed. Classsic dad, right here. He had a great attitude and provided a lot of information. The trolley was thankfully the last one of the evening and wasn't full, so we had the back 3 rows for the 5 of us. Thankfully the outside temperatures had cooled down for the evening as it was hot all day and in the mid 80's for the evening. So the open trolleys were enjoyable.

The visit to the monuments were timed well. 5 or 10 more minutes would have been nice but I understand.

I really enjoyed the FDR monument. I think it was well crafted and was glad to see it before the sun was down. So their schedule summer timing was on point for the height of summer. Then getting to see the Lincoln, Vietnam, and Korean in the blue hour. The Korean is honestly best at night.
