My cousin, for whom English is a second language, was in town from Germany. I suggested we take the History of Black Georgetown tour. Exceptionally well done, insightful, and personal, it takes you through a history of Georgetown that is rarely told. We emerged with a much deeper understanding of the city and those that shaped it. My cousin commented multiple times how easy it was for her to understand our tour guide and thought other Europeans visiting DC would enjoy such a deep dive.

My Adventure Group took the "Wives Who Won the Cold War" tour in June and it was awesome! Katie is a very knowledgeable guide and really makes it interesting and informative with anecdotes and photos of the women of the day. The stop at historic Martin's Tavern mid tour was a nice respite on a hot summer day. I highly recommend this if you're looking for something lesser-known but equally thought provoking.
