I came to New Hampshire just so I could spend a weekend with Northeast Mountaineering. I did both waterfall rappelling and cliff rappelling.
My guide, Dave, was terrific. I trusted him 100%. He had a ton of experience and was extremely knowledgeable and personable.
I'm looking forward to returning this winter to do some ice climbing with him as my guide. Can't wait.

Excellent company. Did a 1 day Mountaineering Skills course on Day 1 and Intro to Ice Climbing course on Day 2, as well as stayed in the Bunkhouse for 4 nights. Everything was perfect. I was the only guest for each course on both days so the guides were able to give me their full attention (Hannah, Will, Dan and Noah were fantastic). I really expected a lot of guests crammed into one course but they don’t do that here. From what I heard is that Corey schedules the courses in a way that there are very few guests per guide, even if it means he has to pay more guides to go out. My friend had to cancel his trip with me last-minute and Corey gave him a refund on his gear rental and credit for his unused stay in the Bunkhouse. We’ll definitely be returning to the Bunkhouse too. I’m really glad I did this with NEM the whole experience was excellent and worth the money. Plus the town and surrounding area was really very pleasant I loved the area.

I highly recommend NEM. I came here for a skills course in preparation for a Denali climb, and having this resource on the East Coast is fantastic. Big props to my guide Noah, whose knowledge, skills, patience, and attention to safety were all top notch

We went waterfall repelling for our son’s 10th birthday with Jake & Noah. It was awesome. We are adventure seekers always looking for an experience & is this one is not to be missed. Would love to try the other tours they offer.

The hike in is not hard, but challenging, you have to be present & watch your footing. It’s my favorite kind of hiking because you’re not thinking about what’s next, the climb or your final destination. You’re thinking about your next foot placement. Was fine hiking it in our water shoes.

I wore a wetsuit, but I think I would’ve been ok without one (I’m a sissy, we live where it’s hot). In the waterfall there are some moss/slippery parts, just watch your step, for the most part you can see the moss. Our oldest is a little reserved & not the most athletic, but he had a great time & would happily do it again. They were great with him & his pace.

Side note: the birthday boy said it was his best birthday yet. (his birthday is during our annual roadtrip so he’s done some cool things for his birthday like ax throwing, rage room, side by side tour, airboat ride with gators & jet skiing with dolphins). That comment is back by high standards.

I recently took an AIARE Level 1 course with NEM. Our lead instructor, Jake, was awesome. He was incredibly well informed and made the 3 days a ton of fun. If you are interested in increasing your knowledge and comfort in the mountains, or are seeking an adventure, I could now recommend NEM enough.

Way cool experience for my wife and I. Our guide Ethan helped us feel safe and gave us the confidence needed. Going down that first wall of rock was incredible. The views were breathtaking. Such a fun day

I actually forget my wallet at their home base. Another guide Nick found and shipped it right out. All the money was still there.

Over the top customer service !! A rarity these days.

We will be back
