Beautiful place to stay. The architecture and design of Longhouse were amazing. The outdoor sauna and hot tub are too good to be true! There is so much attention to detail in the house with lovely furnishings, linens, and a well-appointed kitchen. We loved exploring the trails too. Too many positives to list! We would love to go back.

Been there twice to both properties - simply amazing. This time we had an issue with the plumbing but the owners did everything they could to resolve it and ultimately gave us a partial refund which they did not have to do. This was a pretty random event so don’t think the property has issues. Just demonstrating that these are terrific hosts in addition to a terrific property!

This was one of the single most spectacular experiences of our lives. Matt and I had been looking forward to our stay for many months. We found the architecture to be spectacular, impressively well appointed and wildly cozy. No detail spared in this oasis nestled amongst beautiful, curated nature paths. Our stay included all that is needed to unplug, be present and enjoy the space with ease and comfort. We are so grateful for our time here and look forward to returning soon. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the green heron at the dock and soothed by the lush prairie flowers on one side and the forest and pond on the other. Long house was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday and retirement. The house is so thoughtfully designed and decorated, everything is functional and comfortable. We loved the screen porch, wood fired soaking tub, and glass sauna. The wildlife and land are fabulous. We hope to return for a winter trip!

We had an incredible stay at MetalLark Tower! The property exceeded our expectations in every way. The bikes provided were perfect for exploring the beautiful prairies surrounding the area. After a day of outdoor adventures, the sauna was a much-appreciated luxury, helping us unwind and relax.

The large windows throughout the home offered breathtaking views of the serene landscape, making us feel connected to nature even when we were indoors. Whether sipping coffee in the morning or stargazing at night, the natural light and scenic vistas were a highlight of our stay.

This was truly the perfect retreat, combining comfort, nature, and thoughtful amenities. We can't wait to return!

This cabin is absolutely stunning and feels very luxurious. Highly recommend. The glass sauna and wood fired hot tub are worth it alone.

If you're looking for an upscale getaway in a remote location, private and full of outdoor activities...this is a must. Wildflower pastures, hiking/biking trails, beautiful lake, tons of wildlife, sauna, hot tub, paddle boat, kayaks, etc. The Tower is absolutely stunning perched over the field/lake with floor to ceiling windows on both floors and a walkout for morning coffee with the chipmunk or a late night cocktail with fireflies. So peaceful and relaxing here with no traffic noise or light pollution at night. This location has everything you need. Nearby towns have shopping and eateries, including a fabulous cheese bistro in Grantsburg. Jeff was great with his communication and instructions for the Tower and property. Highly recommend!
PS- We stayed in mid-June. Did encounter mosquitoes by the lake and ticks near the fields. Comes with the territory and overall no complaints, Jeff had bug repellent on site for use.

Absolutely beautiful location, and the huge windows make it easy to absorb the view. This place was perfect for a weekend getaway to disconnect and recharge. We were lucky enough to have a sunny day and a rainstorm; going through a rainstorm in a building like this was an amazing experience.
