Our family had terrific time at Nordic Haus. Lots of space. Comfortable for our group. We liked close proximity to Ski Brule and cozy atmosphere. The area is luscious. Would definitely recommend to family and friends requiring solid amenities and spacious lodging. Great rental for our group of six at a fair price. We plan to return this Winter.

I'm giving this 2 stars because of the location (awesome) and the lady came and gave us more towels and dish soap.

This house has so much potential if the owners would invest a little in it. Be weary of any 4-5 star ratings.
Our issues: iced over staircase (no signage), dirty, unfiltered hot tub (all people that used hot tub developed rash after the weekend), multiple ants over both kitchens, 12 towels total for a house that sleeps 21 people, moldy smell in upstairs bathroom, unclean overall. Also response from owner when given his rating to make him aware of issues was "what would a 4 star rating cost?"
I believe in an honest review, be weary of an 4-5 star ratings on this house, know the conditions you'll be staying in. These are all issues brought forward in other reviews that the owners said they were addressing that does not appear to be the case. I'm posting this because the ratings on VRBO are not accurate.

The owners at first were very friendly and quick to reply but... When we get to the place it wasn't really clean. We moved the couch to accommodate a bit more room for kids and discover century old mess. Fridge needed to be cleaned again. Basically we kind of cleaned it quickly and forgot about it. Before we left, we made sure we left everything clean, nice and tidy. And the problems begin. The owners refused to give us the deposit claiming that weeft the place messy, that the oven was burned (funny cuz we never used it) that water in hot tub was dirty etc. Owners became impossible to to reach and we had to get the money back using Discover card service. We got some of the deposit back. Never staying there again. There are other houses around with much better service. We've been coming to Ski Brule a lot so we know.
