My husband and I have going to the New River Trail Cabins for years. It is absolutely perfect for cyclists and nature lovers. It sits right at the Galaxy trailhead on a secluded property along the opposite side of Chestnut Creek. The cabins are cozy and clean with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The city of Galax has much to offer in dining and entertainment, too.

We stayed at the cabins for Valentine’s Day. It was truly beautiful.!!!! The cabins are so clean and we loved being able to relax and just enjoy the beautiful scenery. It’s so peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed the Creek bottom Brewery and the Galax smokehouse the food was amazing !!!! This is our third trip there and we can’t wait to come back

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back! The cabin was super clean and the amenities were perfect, including luxury robes! The location is great, walking distance to town and nature trails, the best of both worlds.

We stayed two nights in the Old Glory cabin. Cleanest room/cabin I've ever stayed in. Immaculate! The location was so close to everything including down town galax and the new river trail. The bubbly creek that runs behind the cabins was amazing to listen to while sitting on the covered back deck. The beds were super comfy too! I would highly recommend this place to everyone!!

We came here to celebrate August birthday's and anniversary, we stayed at the Alone at last Cabin. It was beautiful, we had everything we needed. The kitchen is small, but who wants to cook on vacation anyway. The cabin sits near the Chestnut Creek and you can bring some chairs and sit by the creek or just sit on the lovely porch and rock your cares away. It was very quiet and peaceful. The cabins are conveniently located near the New River Rail Trail. We hopped on from our cabin and did 24 miles and we're so happy to have a jacuzzi tub waiting for us for our sore muscles. It's also fairly walkable to Galax downtown, just have to cross one busy road at the stop light. We would definitely stay here again. Say hi to the ground hog greeters 🦫

I love this place! The second trip here and have stayed in two different cabins. Loved them both! The cabins are super clean, comfy, romantic, and quiet. The back porches overlook the large stream and are well spaced for privacy in between each back porch. Scenic and serene. They seem brand new inside and I could not even find any dust anywhere. The kitchenette’s are perfect and have everything you need to grill out on their big back porch gas grills or heat up things you brought with you in their microwave. Coffee maker and coffee supplied. | The beds are super comfortable with a choice of 6 pillows on the bed to choose from! Bathroom exquisitely clean with plenty of towels/hand towels/washrags. | They offer a fire pit circle in the evenings to enjoy with other travelers with comfortable seating and firewood supplied. They even have bagged ice on the grounds that works on the honor system. |And the cabins are right on the New River bike trail which also offers shuttle services so you can shuttle north and bike back "home" to your cozy cabin! | Check-in is so easy. You arrive at/after 3pm, log the code in the door and enter your cabin. When you leave you simply lock up and go. It’s fantastic. When you pick out your cabin online, each cabin has a different color on the front door so there is no problem finding the one you reserved. Such a cute idea! | I cannot say enough good things about this hidden jewel! |I will return again and again.

The cabin we rented was above and beyond our expectations. Mary was wonderful in helping us book the cabin and she was there to welcome us when we arrived. Cleanliness is a priority for us and this cabin did not disappoint. The attention to detail was incredible. Being close to the bike trail made it so easy to hop on our bikes and enjoy the beautiful outdoors. We look forward to returning in the near future!

We just spent too short of a weekend at the New River Trail Cabins. Highly recommend them for the beautiful and peaceful location! Cabin was spotlessly clean and well stocked. Super close to some great restaurants. Biked right to the trail from our cabin. We were in cabin 303 which is right by the fire pit.
Jacuzzi tub was heaven after a long ride on the trail!
Wish we had booked a longer stay.
Can’t wait to go back!
