Big thanks to Holly, John, and Jimmy for making our group's New River trip an incredible day on the water! Can't say enough about NRO's genuine and personalized level of service. Holly was extremely helpful throughout the trip planning process. Thanks to her recommendation we floated the 7mile run, which ended up being the perfect trip distance for the diversity of ages and paddle experience in our party. Location is ideal for all river sections, check in was a breeze, they offer quality and well maintained equipment and personal shuttles, and the onsite support from all staff make the entire trip experience excellent from start to finish!

What a great place to catch a kayak or tub down the New River. They dropped us off and we were able to take out time paddling down the river and enjoying God's beauty.
Online checkout was seamless when ordering tickets ahead of time.
Very reasonable price for an afternoon for family fun and nature.
We will definitely come again anytime we are in the area. The staff was friendly and very helpful, I highly recommend!!

I was excited to visit this river, I always like to visit different places such as lakes, beaches and rivers, today I finally got to know, everything was good, I liked the river, the water was very clear, in THIS summer season, it wasn't very deep, we had a lot of fun, we paid for 4 miles and we could only enjoy a few 2 and a half miles I don't know why was 4.5 miles,but anyway I liked it, we had a good time.

Note: personal observation: you guys need to upgrade At least another bathroom, to use the only one , you have to wait 20 minutes and with a huge line of people. And the other bad thing , there is only one bathroom for all types of reservations, and during the entire journey in the river, if you feel like it, you have to wait until you reach the beginning point, or reservation area.

We rented a canoe for the 7 mile trip. We took our dog with us. The weather was beautiful the river was crystal clear although a little low. We didn’t flip once but got stuck a couple of times. We were able to float the canoe under the low bridge instead of take it out. We had a great time and hope to go again. Highly recommend especially if you are staying at the state park. $50 for a 3.5 hour 7 mile trip. I think it was well worth it!

Matt was our guide for the day and put us on the smallies immediately. We didn’t stop lippin em the entire 6 hours on the river with multiple approaches. Matt was very knowledgeable and fielded all the questions from an inquisitive 12 year old. Had a very memorable and formative father-son experience on the water and lots of it was due to Matt. Thanks a lot.

A well run outfitter. I arrived, settled payment and was delivered to my destination. Joe, helped me load and launch my kayak. I stopped by later in my trip for a break and had a snack. The place was packed. You don't have customers lined up out the door unless you're doing something well.Holly and her team are top notch! I shall return! Thanks Holly!
Update, new trip.
Arrived about 30 minutes early today. Paid and got my ticket. Was loaded up and got to the 88 bridge quickly. My driver stayed with me until I was in the water and underway. Had a great River ride even though the water was a little low. Upon return, had one of those great ginger alees, bought a t-shirt and sticker. Noah runs a tight ship there and kept everything running smooth. I shall return again.

We used New River Outfitters for shuttle service for kayaking. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend and will use them again in the future.
