I visited during a weekday and it was easy to access the road to the tracks by car. There is no paved road to the tracks. There are small shelters with Native ‘guides’ selling goods and offering tours. There are no fees to visit the tracks but you may donate or tip the guide and I was told the average was around $20. I’m not sure if the information they present is accurate but they do point out some prominent tracks as well as a little history about the area. The visit was about 15 minutes. There is no shade or facilities.

Very cool spot. Was a little worried after reading some of the reviews. They will definitely approach you as you arrive and make it clear they 'expect' a tip. Honestly, it doesn't seem unreasonable to me. It's their land. The lady was very nice and showed me a lot of neat stuff. Well worth it.

Who can pass up the chance to see actual dinosaur tracks? These dinosaur tracks were formed about 200 million years ago and verified by paleontologists from Northern Arizona University. When dinosaurs roamed the Earth, here is evidence! You can see the tracks from the parking lot. There is no admission fee, but you can choose to tip one of the Navajos for a little tour since it is on Navajo land. You can tip between $5.00 and $20.00. Since there were two of us, we gave him $20.00. He explained the different tracks. I loved seeing the Pterodactyl and the T-Rex print. I do recommend seeing this for yourselves at least once if driving by it.

Unbelievable opportunity to see dinosaur tracks, touch the tracks and bones, and experience the walk through prehistoric times. When we arrived, a Navajo gentleman approached us and told us that no payment was necessary but they ask for donations/tips. He went on to tell us about the history of the area, some geology about the area, and show us the tracks. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. Very worth the stop. Highly recommend.

An interesting wayside attraction containing bonafide dinosaur tracks, fossils, and more. Kids will enjoy seeing and touching these exhibits that otherwise would only be viewed in other locations.

The guides here can be very good, or not good ... It's luck of the day, however the dinosaur artifacts are worth seeing, even if your guide cannot tell you much about them.

Admission is by gratuity to your guide after your visit.

We didn't expect much but we were very pleasantly surprised. There was no one there but us and the guide and a curious coyote! The guide was kind, very knowledgeable and spent a lot of time with us detailing both the various dinosaur tracks, the geologic history of the area and the cultural history of the indigenous people who live on the land. He did so in a friendly conversational manner that was not staged or rehearsed for consumption by tourists -- so it felt very authentic. Later that day we saw Antelope canyon, horseshoe bend, Glen Canyon Dam and the Toadstool hoodoos -- all spectacular local sites. At the end of the day, I took a poll for the best experience and the winner was... the Navajo Moenave Dinosaur Tracks. So local culture matters! Take our advice and stay a night in Tuba City and enjoy the Navajo hospitality. Then be sure to visit the dinosaur tracks on the way out. You will be glad that you did! Until we meet again!
