I've stayed at Moxy hotels in other cities so I completely expected the smaller room and general vibe of the front desk and lobby set up. It's cozy size for a short stay with one or two people tops, if you're booking one of their smaller sized rooms. Every single staff member I interacted with at this location was amazing. From the front desk staff during the day and night shift, security, and bar staff. Somehow I had a lot of questions over my two days and they were all helpful. I also really appreciated all the spaces to relax in the lobby and the library to get some work done, since the room didn't have a desk.

I stayed here for only 3 nights.
The hotel is well located. You can walk to visit African American History museum ( A must in DC), the White House visitor center, Capitol and other museums.
It is disruptive ( exactly the concept), there is no desk in rooms if you want to work from your room ( if travelling for work). I tried to have my teams meetings in the library second floor but it was too noisy as it is connected to the lobby which has 24 hours music and a bit noisy to have work calls.
You hear people walking in when in your room and sink noise. The rooms are not soundproof. There is no free Netflix ( you have to sign in with your existing account). There is no Yoga session too as that was my impression when I saw the yoga mat in the ads pictures.
Overall it was crowded during my stay ( the hotel has external events/receptions) most of the time, you meet new people and diverse culture. They have social games you can play if you make new friends or come as group.
As for breakfast, I had everyday bagel, juice and eggs salad. It was only that - I asked but the lady said they don’t have other offers in the menu.
A positive thing is that they have coffee all day and green tea you can have for free as guest.

Great location especially downtown.
Did not realize how tiny the rooms are. It's not really comparable to a regular Marriott hotel room.

Docking points for how thin the walls are, how noisy the water system is and how the rooms aren't all that well ventilated. Didn't realize this till day three of the week when some noisy guests came into a nearby room and we could hear EVERYTHING. This is more on shitty hotel guests but the rooms are not even remotely sound proof. Not expecting full sound proofing but really don't want to hear neighbors chat all through the night and fight.

Not ideal if you want a good night of sleep.

Also noticed that you can hear the plumbing super loud in the middle of the night. It didn't help that there isn't a great air circulation system when you can't really open a window in the middle of winter.
These are more infrastructure type issues that the service people can't do much about.

Didn't have any issues with service or location. The gym was pretty nice and well maintained.

I got to stay here twice in a week and was treated amazing both times. As someone who travels frequently it’s important to make the road feel like home. This staff does just that. They made my stay feel as close to home as possible. I mostly only stay it Moxy hotels because I know the staff and hospitality will match the fun and upbeat atmosphere and brand. Thanks again. The staff is behind wonderful!! After multiple cancelled flights on 2/16 the staff understood we wanted a fast check in and a good drink. The rooms were super clean and the location was close to prime shopping/restaurants and a metro station. Everyone working on 2/16 made this our official hotel when in DC! Can’t thank them enough!!!

Rooms are fine, clean and with all the necessary equipment to make the stay comfortable. Location is GREAT, walking distance from museums and monuments.

One of the issues was the front desk people that work in the mornings. They were really rude during the whole trip. Rolling eyes and seemed annoyed every time we asked for something. Not sure if they have an issue with Latin women living in the US, their attitude seems discriminatory. We saw them chatting with other customers and they were really nice with them. Really hard to understand why the attitude since day 1. Hope Moxy can train better their workers and explain them the importance of client service on front desk positions. We came here to have a fun time and rest, not to deal with negative attitude from the employees of the hotel we are PAYING to stay in.

In addition to this, we payed extra for the breakfast included, and in the day 2 of our stay the oven broke and there weren’t full breakfast options available. The solution was to take something from the grab n go. When we did the reservation, for each day we payed an extra $20 for the breakfast per person, so is crazy to have to pay that and then just have a yogurt and granola that will cost $5 or $7 tops. They didn’t offer any compensation for the inconvenience either.

Last but not least, they do provide clean towels everyday but they don’t clean the room or do the bed. So for the price per night, you will think the minimums of a standard hotel are covered, but sadly, they aren’t.

I will preface this by saying that I had to stay here because it was the only hotel with availability left near the convention center during a large conference.|With that said, I did not love my stay. The staff was nice enough but it was not my vibe. Felt like an upscale hostel, very cheugy.||Check in is at the bar. You actually do get your room serviced everyday though. The room was so small, I banged my foot on the lone arm chair in the room, which took up half the entrance/hallway space||Theres sort of a restaurant and bar on site but no room service. I ordered the wings—- just dont. It tasted like something frozen and from Family Dollar. No hate towards Family Dollar but thats what it was giving. I did get a free drink ticket and the drink was good. Also free popcorn. It felt like they were trying to supplement this experience with free food. ||There was a single deep drawer in the entire room, and no closet. I almost couldn’t walk around the edge of the bed. It was a queen. The walls are very thin. Pillows were pretty flat, the mattress was on the firm side, and the shower needed a deep clean. There was no bathroom fan. Water barely trickled out of the bathroom faucet. The tv was nice. There are two elevators but one was broken and the other was very slow.||I try to be reasonable with my expectations, but even for a Moxy, a Marriott, this didnt hit

Cute boutique hotel that has a fun, creative aesthetic and great location. Def gives hostel vibes (nice hostel) with small rooms and little storage space (only wall hooks much of which are not that accessible). Clean and comfy. Cute shower. Only complaints were that my bathroom sink's water was always ice cold no matter which way you turned the handle except for one random time during my stay it turned hot. Other complaint was that the room was very cold the first night and when I figured out how to turn the heat on the second night, it got way higher than the specified temp so I could never quite get it right.
