We stayed one night on our way from Ottawa to Portland, ME, with our family of 6 (2 adults, and kids ages 4, 6, 9, 11). |We stayed in the little cabin by the office and it was basic but suited us. We were looking for something basic and comfortable, and that was what we got. The kids ended up sleeping all in the bunk bed (with big bed on the bottom) and parents had the queen bed. It was really nice to have a kitchenette and to be able to make our own dinner. |You can tell the owners put a lot of care into the place - our room was clean and well looked after.|Our kids LOVED the pool and the tire swing. At bedtime, our daughter said, "you know those days when you can't stop smiling? That's today."|The pool was just the right depth - our older kids were comfortable in the deep end, and the little ones could touch in the shallow end (about 3' deep).|The owner gave us some recommendations about what to see in the area. |A simple breakfast was included (cold cereal, granola bars, juice boxes, coffee), which we didn't know about and so was a nice surprise. |There were some other amenities that we didn't get to use, like the outdoor firepits, but looked like they would be a lot of fun.

Highly recommend!! Our stay at mount Jefferson was exactly what we were looking for. Comfortable bed, cozy vibes, & great view. Dewalt was very helpful with local recommendations & very informative with local history as well. Would definitely return.

Positive: Very cute and welcoming. Negative: not all rooms had same equipment and could have better beds and bathrooms. Other than that I loved the place and would definitely book to stay there again if I was in the area.

Great host and location but a tricky night’s sleep that could benefit from easy fixes.
Pros: big room, colorful, good bed, average water pressure, spotlessly clean other than carpet, unbeatable price, kind staff.
Cons: super sticky carpet, flimsy venetian blinds on one window let bright light in, good bit of road noise, tiny toilet seat jiggles to the side, sink feels pre-50s.
Awesome for hikers it but it is definitely one of the more dated motels I’ve been to in the whites.

The office is extremely helpful. My son left his favorite pair of shorts hanging on a hook in the room. We didn't realize this for almost week. I called and left a message. I was called back immediately. The office checked with cleaners and were able to locate the shorts and called me back again. A friend in the area was able to pick them for us. Thank you! As far as the accommodation goes. The room was clean and comfortable. It is a perfect place to stay the night before a big hike in the White Mountains.

Stayed one night after a hike last week. It was ice cold, but cabin was preheated.
Slept like a baby, totally dark and silent. In the morning the pool was frozen over, but I sat with a cup of hit mint tea in the porch and watched the sunrise.
Cabins are clean, with fridge, stove, cutlery and cooking utensils.
Overseer leaves after 9pm.

Perfect location a few minutes from the trail head at Appalachia. They were very accommodating schedule wise. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable and seemed new. It was everything we needed for a night before a hike. I would definitely go back and I highly recommend Mount Jefferson View. It's not fancy but I wasn't looking for fancy. They have a small pool and barbecue area available.

We stayed here on June 13, 2024 as part of a month long vacation to nearly every corner of the U.S. This was, by far, our favorite motel of any we stayed in. The rooms were not new, but had been lovingly restored, and the people that owned and ran it were just wonderful! We just loved our yellow room (#10). The gentleman that checked us in was a wealth of information about the area. We were happy to see him the next morning and we chatted some more over coffee. We felt like family. The views are magnificent in every direction. Many thanks to the people that run this great motel.
