These guys are great. Honest, helpful, no nonsense, fair. I recently purchased a boat from them (late october 2024) and the transaction was very smooth and the boat was as stated. I came from new york, checked out the boat, took it for a ride, and towed it away two hours later same day. If I am ever in the market again I will hit up these guys first, no doubt. I just purchased my Jeanneanu Leader 10.5 from Mike at Louis Marine. While I could rave for hours about the boat, it’s more important that I let other know how awesome everyone at Louis Marine is.

In a time when no new boats are available nor new engines, Louis Marine was able to get me the exact boat I wanted. I am on Long Island, NY and they are the nearest Jeanneau dealer. They had one coming in this spring and I was able to go into contract on the boat, site unseen. While nervous about doing this, mike was able to provide a lot of details about the boat before it arrive. He kept us apprised of the delivery times. If he knew something, I knew something. As soon as the boat was delivered his team jumped on rigging the boat. Penny was amazing on setting up the closing and getting everything document.

On delivery day he was personally ready to walk me through every inch of the boat. Easily two hours of systems overview and they already have been important tips and notations.

The boat was loaded. He went far beyond what was on paper for further extras. There was no haggling, no nit picking. The experience was top notch as it should when purchasing something like this. He has followed up and few times and provided insight where he can.

Hunter did an awesome job rigging and preparing the boat as well. The smiles that went around the boat as soon as Hunter said “she’s ready!” were classic.

Anyone that wants a Jeanneanu won’t be disappointed and if they want one, Louis Marine is your place.

Nothing but rave reviews. The only down side is I don’t think I’m buying another boat for a very long time.

Back in 2013, we ordered a new boat from somewhere else. The experience was pretty awful. For one, the wait was painful -- no updates, no communication whatsoever, and when the boat finally came in months later, it had the wrong interior color and multiple other issues. Once we launched the boat, we became parasites to the dealer. Minor warranty repairs became 6+ month affairs, getting a returned call was like demanding someone's first born child, and the list goes on.

Our experience with Louis Marine couldn't have been more opposite. We ordered a new boat from them last year and took delivery this summer. Throughout the wait for our new beauty to come in, Mike kept us informed and passed along updates from the factory, and he was super responsive even when I was sure I was becoming super annoying with question after question.

We took delivery 3 months ago and they've been awesome still. We've had a couple of minor factory-driven issues that Mike and his team were ALL OVER. Not only have they made special trips up to where we're keeping our boat in RI to address the issues, but Matt on their team has proactively checked in with us a couple of times to make sure that everything is going good. And whenever we have questions, Matt is all over them like white on rice within a day or two, at most.

I share these two polar opposite boat buying experiences because buying a new (or used) boat is a huge financial and time commitment, and I know now that a good dealer makes all the difference. I can honestly say with experience that the team at Louis Marine are the real deal. We're glad to be customers of theirs and hope to be for many years to come!
