This was our second camper from Kunes and they did great! Friendly, welcoming, they know their stuff, and the whole process goes really smooth. Their service is great as far as the little touches like a new battery, sanitizing the water system, and getting everything ready! Trevor was our salesperson and he was very knowledgeable but not pushy in the least like some salespeople can be. Andy did excellent for our walkthrough, we felt confident on the use of all the features and systems in the camper afterwards! Laura made the paperwork process go smooth and pleasant. Even the folks in parts and the gal at the front desk are great!! We definitely recommend considering Kunes RV! If they don’t have what you want on site, they will find the perfect fit at other locations and bring it locally all as part of the price listed! If you’re thinking of a new camper, definitely start at Kunes!!!

Oh where do we start. We bought our camper in May 2023. Had it for not even a couple weeks and the trim on the interior was pulling away from the counter. Speakers on the exterior were blow. Got tossed around the service department multiple times, with no phone calls back when promised. They said they could do nothing for trim that had broken on the table. Now fast forward to summer of 2024 we pull out are awning and it has separated from the camper. Doing our own research on it the awning had a recall on it. With that being said the camper should have never been sold to us with the recall on it. We had called Kunes parts department and they said that it was a valid recall. Then was passed off the service department where they said they would call to set up an appointment time. We waited several days with no call and we called them on Friday and finally got an appointment. We were told after dropping it off that it would be a couple days and they would let us know what the plan was going forward. Fast forward a couple weeks we had heard nothing it was silence on their end. Called and they said they had not heard anything and would let us know. Another week goes by and we finally get a call stating they will not fix it. With that being said the camper should have never been sold to us with a knowing recall for safety issues on it. Will never recommend anyone to this place ever when it comes to the service and parts department.

Once the purchasing process was started, everything went smooth and the purchase went through quickly. They answered all of our questions and were not pushy. They respected what we wanted in a camper and were good to work with. Later, when our camper needed warranty work done, they went out of their way [literally] to pick up our camper and get it back to their shop. Then, when it was done, they brought it back to our seasonal site and helped get it level.

They were eager to sell us a camper that had notable soft floors in 2022. We asked multiple times, both with the salesman and with their repair guy who did the walk through. We are told it was a soft arra due to being where the floor joists met and that it had nothing to do with any type of damage. We were brand new to the world of camping and they assured us it was fine. In the summer of 2023, we called concerned about the floor as the softness had spread and it was separated from the area right under the door. We brought it to them for an estimate for repair the first week of September 2023. After a month with no updates (and many phone calls to get more information), I finally got a call back from a repair technician who told me that the repairs needed for the floor and other issues we had would be "No more than $4500, $5000 max." He said that he had to order parts and would be in touch when it was completed. I told him we needed to get it into storage, as our house had burned down in August and due to the rebuild, did not have a place to store it. He said "You'll have it before winter."

Another month went by (now mid October) with no updates and more calls unreturned. I went to the Holmen store myself. The manager sat me down and said he wanted to get to the bottom of it. He told me that the previous repair tech hadn't been taking detailed notes and that he'd have to look into it. He called back later that day and said that they'll were still waiting for parts but that they would be in by the next week and then it would be completed.

We didn't hear from them in November at all. In December, we were told the floor was being repaired at that time and that it would be ready "next week." They then stated that it would be just over $6,000 for repairs.

We finally got a call back today, January 30th, and found out it's now just under $7,000. For an issue that we asked about and pointed out *multiple times* before we purchased it.

We are considering this a terrible life lesson that has hit us during the absolute worst time. Not only did they sell a known faulty camper, but they ignored our multiple requests for updates, lied about how much it would cost, and gave us the run around until it was far, far too late yo find any type of storage.

I will never recommend them for purchases or service. But they know that they are the only optionsl in the area, so I'm assuming we're S.O.L.

Update Dec 2024: we finally got our unit back in February. We had it in outdoor storage until May. We took it out in June and it rained. The floor (that they replaced) became immediately soggy. That Monday, I returned to Kunes, pulled out the history of emails/calls/costs and told them they will either fix it for free or buy it back for what we owed.

The took the camper that day for repair and found that, while the floor was repaired, they never fixed/redid any of the seals on the unit (which we told them to do because why would you repair water damage without repairing the leak?). They had the unit for a few more weeks to repair it and they did not charge us for the additional repairs needed for the floor.

Bought a new Salem 33ts two weeks ago. Started with Tim Lyman in sales (he was great) then went to (old sales manager) and was about to leave as I felt very pressured and not he was listening to the customer or his staff. Then went to get finances through Kunes and 3 hrs before pick up I was told I did not qualify for loans. This deal had been started 5 day prior and I was just being told 3 hours before pickup. Not happy was about to leave Kunes when NEW SALES MANAGER DYLON saved the day. Dylon, Tim (sales) and Cliff (sales) went way above and beyond to save the deal and I was treated with much more respect from Dylon and he was willing to listen and hear what I was wanting as customer. I'm a 3 time RV buyer ( 2 from FMB and now 1 from Kunes). Tim and Cliff in Sales and Al and his staff in the shop are old school from FMB and if was not for these guys and Dylon (New Sales Manager), I would have gone else where. Give them a try and some patients as they are getting the ball going in right direction, I don't think you will be disappointed.
