Review for radiology department only. I was extremely impressed with Debbie Taylor and her warm welcoming demeanor. She was professional and thorough when giving my mammogram. She put my anxiety to rest and performed the x-rays in a snap, thorough, professional and kind. Debby is a rare find in today's work world. She deserves high praise for a job well done. Thank you ever so much, Debbie, for putting me at ease. I appreciate you!

My husband recently had both knees replaced, 6weeks apart at Huggins Hospital. We found it to be an excellent experience! The staff who book the surgery, the nursing staff, anesthesiologists, physical therapy staff and Dr. Hogan are all outstanding at what they do! We really have zero complaints and would recommend Huggins!

Don't go here! ER female Dr is rude and doesn't give a shit about patients... the nurses were rough putting in IV and taking it out, they werent very nice either probably becuase i had to stand up and advocate for myself the second i got into a room becuase of the comments she was making.
When she came in and told me that they couldn't find anything... she says we'll at least we know what ever is wrong it isn't an emergency that we need to fix!!! Who says that to someone... I should have walked out the door when I got into a tiffy with her when I first got there as she asked me what is it that you would like me to do for you! The last time I came here they did the same thing your fine sent me on home, the next day i collapsed at Walmart and was rushed to memorial hospital didn't take long for them tell me what was wrong. Sadly when its this late at night I had to go to huggings as I live local... this hospital IS A JOKE.

I had a very good experience while staying here. Both the ER and OR staff working on me were friendly and knowledgeable. The room after surgery was also clean and the nurses were very friendly. Dr.Huleatt and the team did a wonderful job!!

Don't come here intentionally but if you need to go to the hospital this may be the place for you!!!

Red flag. They have the most unprofessional doctors their and are not equipped allegedly with the proper equipment for head scans ect. At least that's the story I was told. My wife just recently broke her ankle falling from a ladder at work and was dismissed from urgent care after a broken ankle. Was diagnosed no pain pills even offered just pushed right out their revolving door. Like seriously how can you just not care about a patients pain level its just inconvenient for them to give you the meds. Maybe they write it down and double dip. All they say is it must be bad, not would you like something for the excruciating pain we can see your clearly in. Then they walk away without a thought of giving her at least Tylenol or ibuprofen. They didn't perscribe or even give her something for the pain. Fast forward a week constant head aches blurred vision, seeing white spots, getting woozy and has fallen down. Went to rochester and they were baffled by the way they handled her case. Ladder falls always require a full body exam not just an ankle xray. She currently has a tweaked neck and severe swelling in the face. Causing muscle spasms and severe pain. My wife and I have decided we will not call an ambulance anymore cause for some reason that's always the hospital they bring you too. Hmm very suspicious. I would rather bleed out in a car than trust a trip to huggins hospital to be only diagnosed 5-10% not the full thorough body exam that's typically required after ladder falls.

If you care about your family, do not take them here. When my father died here, I was alone and I got his nurse and said I believed he was gone. She said “what makes you say that?” I don’t know, how about the fact I just watched foaming blood spray out of his mouth and nose as his lungs deflated and he wasn’t breathing anymore?

Relatives who have gone in for self harm severe enough to require stitches got let go in under 24 hours. Brothers seizures were disregarded.

It’s not safe here.

UPDATE: July 31, 2024 my brother was brought in to Huggins BY POLICE because he tried to hang himself. The doctors in the ER RELEASED MY BROTHER THE SAME NIGHT!!!!!!!! Because he didn’t get the care he needed, my brother is no longer with us.

These are the same people that delayed helping my dad and refused to transfer him to a hospital equipped to help with cancer.

Most of my dad’s nurses were amazing. The cafeteria staff are awesome. I would just never trust the doctors with anything. They will not save you or your family.

I was seen at the Huggins ER last week for what I thought was a viral infection. The ER Physician realized I had a Tick carried heart infection. He started IV antibiotics immediately and had me transferred to the Cardiac Care Hospital in Manchester. After 3 nights, Iwas well enough for discharge and am now back safely at our home in Pennsylvania.
I am extremely impressed by the staff and medical care I received at Huggins. I am a retired physician myself and have a very good understanding of what a first class ER is like. The Huggins Medical Team saved my life, by starting the IV antibiotics immediately and getting me to Manchester.I will be forever grateful to Huggins Hospital for their expertise and professionalism.

Sincerely,
Frederick Bartlett MD

I can't thank the ER department of Huggins enough. I went in for a cat bite with a lot of swelling and pain in my hand. Andrea The PA came in and was worried enough to start an IV of antibiotics. After the IV the swelling went down but she ordered a 10 day dose of antibiotics. Andrea had me come back 24hrs after to check my hand again. I didn't have to register again so she came out right away. In my opinion Andrea and Glenn the ER nurse did an amazing job.
