Hoyt’s Cottage was incredible! Stayed here in October for one night. The views were absolutely stunning and the cottage was cozy, clean. and had everything! Had morning coffee out on the beach which was beautiful. I highly recommend staying here for anyone looking for a peaceful scenic getaway! The Hoyts were so sweet and I loved speaking with them. Excited to stay here again in the future.

Our first visit to New Hampshire and we loved Hoyt's Lodges!|Super clean, quiet, perfect location, and very friendly and accommodating hosts. Screened porch and deck with grill. |NOT a luxury resort, but very reasonably priced. We will be back!

We have stayed here every year for the last 20 plus years. It is extremely family friendly and the cottages are tidy and clean. John and Ann are fantastic, and they've had sets of Irish setter dogs who are also "kid friendly/people friendly". The walk to the public beach is easy. Everything you need for a week away at the beach! If it is rainy (or nice out!) Portsmouth is a fun town to explore shops or just go have a meal in, and Kittery, ME is the next town from there! Plenty to do for anyone visiting. Ann tries to answer questions (and CAN answer most) for John but always gives estimates until John confirms.

We came for a wedding. We arrived very late. The owner had everything prepared for us to simply access our cabins. Beds fresh
clean house clean perfect location. Good communication with owners and helpful in every way. Its a 1950's fibe. Safe and old fashion good place for kids to run around. Owners loyal to past returning guests as if they were family. Lots of photos in the office. Two Irish Setter dogs handsome and friendly. Just an all around nice cabin experience. I appreciated the no middle man to do business like vrbo or airbnb and their add on fees

We have been coming to Hoyt's for over 20 years off & on. If I could give Hoyt's 10 stars, I would. Beautiful location, beautiful grounds. Relaxing, quiet and private. Pricing is very reasonable. Accomodations are clean and cozy. Just a few miles to the craziness of Hampton Beach or the shopping of Portsmouth. A super quick 1/4 mile stroll to a state beach. We always have a great stay with John & Ann at Hoyt's.

I first reviewed this a few years back. We just stayed there this past weekend (#8). We had absolutely everything we needed for our two night stay. Very comfortable accommodations - the beds were great as we had an awesome nights sleep. The location is absolutely perfect being on 1A - close to many beaches and also close to nearby Portsmouth which is a delightful place to walk around and check out the lovely shops downtown. John and his family are true stars in the world of hospitality - Even their two dogs came to greet us a hello one morning while drinking coffee on the front deck. Thanks for another great stay! We will see you soon!

I have been staying at Hoyt's lodges annually since 2006. I am already booked for summer '22 and I am looking to spending some quality peace and quiet by the ocean with family. The cabins are rustic and have all the necessities for a summer vacation. The chirping of birds, smell of the ocean, crashing of the waves, and the quiet of evenings make for a relaxing stay. A slice of paradise. Close to excellent fishing opportunities and great restaurants such as Petey's on Route 1A. I highly recommend Hoyt's lodge, particularly Cabin 3 if it is available. Another great facet of booking your stay at Hoyt's is the ability to cook your dinner with a BBQ grill provided on the porch of your cabin. Nothing like a nice BBQ dinner and a cold beer on the porch after spending a day in the sand, surf, and sun.

My husband and I have been vacationing at Hoyt's lodges for 8 years now and have stayed in several of the units. The cottages are always clean and well-kept and the owners are friendly and accommodating. It is a great place to escape to each summer; quiet, great location, and relaxing. We love it here!
