Have made four trips with Holiday Vacations, all of which we enjoyed. Service was good and the tour guides were very good. Unfortunately our fifth trip did not meet the service level we had come to expect from the previous trips. Granted the fifth trip started when the Crowd Strike software crash took place but again, the support and service were not there. Some of the issues encountered began when we were awaiting our first flight to our connection in Atlanta to Nice, FR. When the delay was evident we made multiple attempts to contact the guide. The advice we were given was that we would need to take the next flight if the connection was missed (which it was through no fault of our own) that was 24 hours later. We were also told that it would be our responsibility to "catch up " with the tour. Not helpful at all or acceptable customer service. At that same time we attempted to make calls (3) to the Holiday Vacations office. The first call was an automated "please hold" message. After a half hour or so I hung up. The next two calls made had a "call back" option which said we would not lose our spot in order. Left a call back request on the third call and was never called back. Once in Atlanta we had to get from terminal 1 to terminal 5 within 15 minutes. Trams and running with luggage to the gate (which resulted in a back injury) we arrived when the gate was closed and were not allowed to board. We were then directed to a customer service desk in another terminal and waited in line almost six hours. At that time we determined we were not going to take this trip and submit an "interrupted travel" claim with Trawick International, the policy sold by Holiday. Dealing with them is another story that we described on another Google review about their poor service, communications, and general stalling and incompetence.
It took 6 months to get a resolution, the same time it took my back injury to heal, which was in our opinion inadequate. Throughout this time Holiday appeared to be sympathetic to our plight but the follow up and service diminished as they said they would have their General Manager contact Trawick on our behalf to see what the extensive delay was about. After receiving two follow up calls from them with no information the follow up stopped. We submitted a complaint to our state Insurance Commissioner and are finally calling an end to this extremely unpleasant experience. Word of advice; if you travel with Holiday Vacations do not purchase the travel insurance they sell for Trawick and do not expect to receive any support on the follow up should an issue occur.
It is not only how a companies service is during normal business that counts, but more importantly how it reacts during the challenging business events.

We read your reply, thank you. But the communication after the event, when we were promised "updates" from your office regarding the contacting of Trawick, went unheeded. This was most disappointing. After six months we would have thought that the crisis mode your office experienced would have eased and that a simple email or phone call would have been made. Unfortunately this delinquency has left a lasting impression. After approximately $60K in business and $4K for travel insurance would have a least prompted an email or call back with an update.

My husband and I have travelled with Holiday Vacations on three trips. We were satisfied. I would like to talk to someone about questions that I have regarding another possible booking for a trip. I have tried to call on numerous days and I have been on hold for what seemed like forever. and no one ever did come to the phone. I would hesitate to ever book another trip with Holiday Vacations. I feel that if they cannot answer their phones and allow a person to speak to another person that their customer service is extremely poor at this point in time. I would rate this experience with attempting to talk to someone in their office extremely poor. I most likely will never book with Holiday Vacations again.

They are very good sales people. They will be okay with people that have no travel concerns. If you have any issues you will for the most part be on your own with no support. They will be friendly but not much help. Just be careful with your money and understand that they are a business that wants your money and knows that you are trying to fulfill your travel dreams. They will take your money and you will get frustrated and lose several thousand dollars if you cancel the vacation. Be mindful that they are there to make money and that you come second. I think many people will have a good vacation. Some people like me will be very unhappy and become disappointed and just take the several thousand dollars loss and never go on vacation with them. I see my part in the situation and accept responsibility for it. I say buyer beware though because I can see how it can easily happen to others because you are excited about the travel experience. My experience was unpleasant and a financial loss. I hope that others have a more enjoyable experience. This was a very negative experience where I lost $4400. As always revenue, growth and profit come first and compassion for people comes second. I would never travel with any travel company again. I do appreciate the $9675.00 of my money that they returned to me. I feel lost, lonely, abandoned, confused and used. It was and still is depressing. A very unsatisfying experience. The experience will stay with me for a while and I will be less trusting in people. I don't think I will ever get feeling better with this experience. Very terrible. Zero Star review the lack of empathy and ability to care they had really stayed with me. No exceptions they are going to keep your money. I'm still bothered by it months later. It was really a very bad experience. The experience turned the desire to travel off in me. I won't pay to travel anywhere as a matter of principle. I have negative feelings about visiting other places and people. I prefer to stay home now.

Went to Canada and Australia with them and I can not say enough good things about them. We are still communicating with most of our crew from the Australia trip. Recently signed up with another company to go to Iceland and they Nickle and dimed us to nearly $3,000.00 so now we are back and going to Alaska with them.

Excellent place to book a vacation trip for air plane, tour coach, train and cruise ship travels. The Receptionists are friendly, helpful and are interested in you! The guide is with the group from your destination starting place through to end of trip. These guides are very knowledgeable, helpful, and they make sure everything goes smoothly for the entire group.

Traveling with Holiday Vacations is super easy. You don’t have to worry about a thing. They handle the luggage and do all the planning. All you have to do is show up and have fun with super tour directors, fun hosts from around the country and new friends you just haven’t met yet. There are always little added surprises and coupons from previous travels or from referring friends. Just do it! You’ll love it! ❤️

Great tour guides and itineraries. However, trying to get help with issues after a tour about problems that occurred during a tour were not good at all. I kept getting told this person or another would be getting in contact but I didn’t hear from anyone. The runaround was what I got.

We have taken more than a dozen trips with Holiday. It is great to not have to do any planning for the trip (other than what to pack and they can even help with that). The European trips have been the best. They are expertly planned, the activities and food are wonderful. Can’t wait for this pandemic to end so we feel safe to get out there again.
