I stayed here for several months due to a bad living situation at home. Everything was amazing, staff was friendly, and if there was an issue it was fixed within the hour until rodeo weekend 2025 when the owners started changing everything. Suddenly my cat was no longer allowed (he is a service animal I just don't have paperwork for him yet) I was essentially told I could stay but he had to go on top of them wanting to keep the rodeo weekend rates instead of bringing back down to the pre rodeo weekend rates like we were promised they would be. I chose to leave as I cannot be without my cat who is not only best friend but also a medical device. The road in front of the holiday is super busy and dangerous to get on and there are constant emergency vehicle sirens, several times people drove by during the night and threw fireworks out of their cars, and I also saw someone staying here get a swat team sent into their room.

I just stayed here this weekend. I loved this Motel. Excellent customer service and clean and a few issues but clerks would address them immediately. My 4th time this time with my son and baby grandson all was good until this stay Friday August 16 thru August 18, 2024. Baby Roaches in the restroom, on table and even in and around the fridge. I just thought the 1st day, no my son, can't be roaches just ants maybe. Didn't want to believe him until I saw 1. I told clerk right away. Gave me an option to move. But they only have 1 room with 2 bedrooms. Needed this room. Thought we'll only 1 baby roach or 2. Maybe not too bad and can male it through. I regret it. Came hone today and my son dropped his 2 year old son (my grandson) at his mom's and mom said a lot if baby roaches were in his diaper bag. So so embarrassed. Earlier yesterday when I had told the clerk to let owner "Moss" know of this issue he refunded me $60 out of the 2 nights I paid for. No apologies or any efforts to remove the issue. Just no response from him. He could have been more sympathetic and apologize some sort. But never received nothing. I loved this place but because of the owners service I will not ever return. But hotel clerks, they were awesome. So apologetic and sympathetic and helpful. They were the reason why I kept hanging on. Goodbye Holiday Motel Oakdale

Good points - Comfortable bed, friendly staff. Unfortunately shower didn't work properly, very dated room with a bad smell, all my clothes now smell like it. The room didn't feel very secure

I would definitely not recommend this place. The door didn't lock completely. And the maid is rushing you out the door at 1030am when check out is 11am. Very rude. They don't offer late check out either. They require a $40 deposit and you get that back when you check out.

Let me start by saying I made the mistake of booking this hotel instead of holiday inn express which is right next door, so my kids are instantly disappointed but their rooms are non-refundable. The property itself is actually not that bad we were just next to some very loud junkies, so we didn't get any real sleep. They are pet friendly for an extra fee, but I wonder if they are sanitizing properly for it. They have a clean ice machine and a soda machine. It's located by tons of food places, and grocery stores that's a plus. Now upon entering the smoke free room it had a heavy smoke odor, so we had to leave the window open, it has a small freezer/fridge with a microwave all clean. The bathroom was clean and the beds, but the mattresses themselves look like they were picked out of the dumpsters. So if you're not picky about beds and surroundings you'll be fine it's definitely a no for myself!! The staff is friendly and helpful, but you can clearly see she's an addict. I decided to add the video, but it was intended as proof of how the rooms was, the pictures they posted are very old, because the rooms are run down now!!

Very clean and quiet place to stay. Also it is very convenient. Everything I needed was close by and in walking distance. The manager is very helpful, sweet and polite. I watched her speak to many customers and she really went above and beyond to help them with what they needed. I will absolutely be staying here again!

Since this is the cheapest you can find in the area (at least online) it was absoluty fine. The beds are comfortable, the AC works, the showers work and the WIFI is extremely stable and well.

Since we got stranded in Oakdale because of a car breakdown we had the pleasure to spend some time here. Everything is conventiently reachable by foot and the place (motel) feels very safe and is quiet.

The only downside are the magically reproducing flys that were in our room. So we had to hunt down 4 to 5 at least per day to get some quiet time around us 😁

No breakfast (I read that there was)
Pool was gross, very dirty, algae growing, hair ties, globs of hair, etc.
the managers have a well behaved medium/big sized dog who roams without a leash.
